You do not need to adjust idle spring. You need to adjust the ignition for this load area in idle where it sits when in gear. Make sure to have enough resolution in the idle area so that you can tune it accordingly. Most people spent way to much map resolution points for boost but it is actually not needed to have 5 or 10 psi increments when in boost. You will need that at idle and in the areas where you will have ping to adjust the map correctly. Of course it would be way easier with an IACV, stepper or PWM based so that you can raise it slightly when in gear. On my auto cars adjusting the idle properly and advancing the timing enough solved the stall. It also made launches way stronger....

It does have an iacv. Basically the throttle was too closed. The iacv was maxing out just to idle it in park. Adjusted it to where it was 10-15% duty cycle hot.

@@Taylordrifts ah sorry, didn't hear that in the vid :-) or did'nt get it. English is not my native language. The main approach should still be ignition as it is way faster in catching up with rpm drop than air. I also had it a lot that in close loop the dance of stall starts where it cycles constantly and idle surge happens. IACV as last measure, ignition as main driver. I installed my 2 step box and electronic cut out module both on the fuse box as well. I heated the tip of a metal pick with a lighter and poked it through. Then used screws to cut threads into the new holes.

Going back a lot of years, this reminds me when l built a twin turbo, 468 c.i. big block, first test drive was like yours, is it boosting,? He'll ya! Watch, and man even with slicks it spun the tires forever. I did 1 16" derali on a 185 deg switch and 2 9" derali fans on a 195 deg switch. That way theres no unnecessary amperage being used. Then Im putting 3 7" derali fans on the oil/trans cooler in front of the radiator on a 195 deg switch + the stock 16" AC fan on the condenser. So I can get some serious cfm over all the coils.

Highly recommend staying away from the cheaper map sensors. I run either lowdoller sensors on a Holley. Or buy a OEM zr1 3 bar GM map sensor. Super super reliable.

With the the waste gate position and the log manifold setup there’s always going to be boost creep. I ran a 60mm waste gate and it helped a lot, The most it creeps is 1psi but at the very top

Same set up going in my regal other than decked 243s and btr cam. Fuel system is only thing that makes me nervous. If youve watched matt that was his limit on 99.9% of every build he did. A 4303 and some 210 should hose it down nicely on corn juice
