Big love for you at the moment Stuart. The broom series and the pull/swing videos have been a real help to understand the golf swing. I never really truly understood the swinging aspect in the golf swing until now…I know that sounds crazy but you’ve cleared it up in my mind at least 😂
@GoodGolfCoachingАй бұрын
Thanks so much Joe, glad you're enjoying the game that little bit more now the understanding has a little more depth to it. It sounds crazy but from where i'm standing, I believe 99% of golfers don't appreciate the swing phase. Best wishes Stu

That is the same way Bernhard Langer does it and it didn't do his career any harm! Another great instruction video! Now become my go to YT golf instruction channel. Although I'm not telling anyone else about it as I don't want them improving lol

Thank bud, draws and fade at will!
@pskayАй бұрын
I like the way you’re simplified this by only mentioning focus on aim and grip positions. I’ve seen other instructors mention fades requiring more square and straight follow through across and draws with a more twisting/flipped release. Do you think those thoughts are really necessary?
@GoodGolfCoachingАй бұрын
I’m hoping my video shows how simple hitting shape can be 😊

Brilliant lesson Stuart! You made what I’ve always thought was exclusive to professionals seem attainable to average recreational golfers like myself 😊 thank you!

Love hearing all the "nuggets of information". Have to give this a try as I need to create the ability to hit a fade when necessary. I tend to hit a draw most of the time but I don't aim enough to the right. So I am guilty of trying to do what you say is very difficult. Hitting it straight to a slight draw with a square setup. I can attest that it is difficult. I need to get over the fear that if I aim right the ball may not draw and will end up considerably right of target. The method you describe of simply changing the grip to control face to path and then aiming correctly is simple. Thanks for another great video and the complete explanation.

Since I converted to Stuart’s teaching I developed a since little draw from 7i to wedges, 6 iron and below seem to want to fade naturally. I fought it for awhile now I just let it do what it wants to do, but I’m going to try and put this instruction into those longer clubs and get them all drawing.
@GoodGolfCoachingАй бұрын
Love to hear it; the draw will come with the longer irons, more broom swings with a heavy broom and you’ll absolutely achieve it.

Is my idea of draw flat left wrist and fade slight cupping in the left wrist bad way for playing draw/fade ?
@GoodGolfCoachingАй бұрын
Definitely not 😂 - Watch the video again my friend.
@simonmuggleton4688Ай бұрын
@@GoodGolfCoachingyeah watched it twice now only just found you but you do appear to make things uber simple . I do feel altering the face and regripping is scary & definitely something that needs time to get used to maybe range only at first to see how it affects you. Think many in there 40s or older will be like myself and try and alter to much when shaping a shot. Example Faldos faster arms on draw and faster chest/body on fade . You are simply promoting keep swing and tweek alignment & grip only which does make it simple.
@Jonny4fingersАй бұрын
Great instruction, and not only because you said arsing about 😂😂😂 Overseas viewers might need a translation 😂 Love that you’re putting the myth to bed that you have to hit a push draw… I’ve been able to hit a straight ball that draws and changed setup to accommodate that, but have always felt I needed to setup square but push it to start it right. Sod that malarkey. Back to starting it straight and draw/fading it off that line

@@GoodGolfCoaching ......hmmm interesting.....hey Stu one other question. I understand totally the shoulder coming thru with irons and the shoulder hanging back a little bit long for the driver.....but would it be logical to assume that as you progress from shorter to longer clubs the shoulder should start to.hang back a little longer as you progress to the longer clubs?.....man I hope.that makes sense..... thanks ⛳🍺

Hanging back wouldn't be the term I use but I think I know what you're getting at Gary.

For a right handed golfer: Draw = move your right foot back a couple of inches Fade = move your right foot forward a couple of inches

The same people that say get on with it, are the same people that buy that new 1000 dollar driver that just puts them deeper in the woods. Take that 1k worth of money and get a few lessons and pay attention to what they are doing is the real answer. I can take a cheap club off the shelf at Wallmart and still smoke all of them. Always have and always will even at 67!!!!!

I love when you say Stewart will you get on with it and you say no it is important for us to know why we think what works doesn't and then we get to be taught what does work and I so agree with you so these nuggets before you show us how to do it correctly is the objective so we don't do it again and people don't realize that you'll have to forget all the Trump supporters in here from across the pond lol

It’s crucial I discuss the why’s, essential and I enjoy it. It’s only 10-15 in most of my videos, I don’t think that’s too long for most.
