One thing that'll make loading slower, but delivery faster, your itinerary screen has a search box, and at the right side of it is a search by bar code. Yep, you can scan all your packages, and get the stop number, so you load your car in order so there's not hunting for packages when you arrive. I find it speeds up the day enough to justify the extra load time.

Next time you are in the depot ask a member of staff for plastic bags. They'll give you as much as you want and that'll help you on the rainy days.

Great video - just so you know you can re-attempt after completing the route. If you have parcels to return to the depot, you can still go to your itinerary and select the address you want to re-attempt and it will bring up the sat nav again :)

Amazon Flex'er in California USA here... Leaving it with a neighbor is wild to me, thats not within our scope of possibilities. Aside, I always arrive 10 to 15 minutes early. Because usually you can get a route right away. And I use that extra time to organize my packages according to stop number. I fly through my route and have to search for nothing at each stop.
@emma707078 ай бұрын
Right, unless someone specifically asks you to leave it with a specific neighbor, you'd never. But I think that because people move more often and we don't have the shared spaces (like a lot of UK homes have shared gardens out back) so we don't have as many ties to our neighbors here.

Long time sub. 2 questions please: 1 are you allowed to leave them as you did? I’ve been having delivery drivers knock and dump them on my doorstep when I’m out? (Uk) 2 why did you knock for the envelope one you pushed through? Thanks
@autohustles6 ай бұрын
Thanks for supporting the channel mate! Yes, we can leave parcels providing it isn’t an age-verified delivery or a passcode delivery (high value items require a passcode from the customer that they get emailed from Amazon). We have the option to select where we left it, and take a photo as proof. Handing to the customer is not required. The only requirement is that the parcel isn’t visible from the road - some drivers don’t take that rule too seriously though. As for the letterbox knock, it was just to let them know it’s arrived if they didn’t hear the letterbox go. Nothing more than that!

With new hmrc law coming in, Amazon and other apps are going to struggle to keep drivers, if they don’t up what they pay it’s not going to be worth any drivers, riders coming out

I have been doing a few flex shifts from the Plymouth depot. Had some right Minging routes recently all farms with horrible roads. I did before Christmas have similar to your route in this video. Had an enhanced rate for 3.30hr route I think it was £70 odd took me just over an hour to do. It’s all luck of the draw.

Great videos as always, I'm thinking of signing up & doing this a part time hustle(10hrs a week). What's the best app(deliveroo, uber eats etc), can it take a while before being accepted? Also best insurance provider(cheapest) for someone doing this part time. Any advice is much appreciated, & look forward to the next video :)

However im getting alot of issues trying to get insured and while i already have nornal insurance they do not offer food delivery insurance add ons. Can i ask who you go through please? Thanks mate Jamie
@autohustles6 ай бұрын
Cheers mate and thanks for the sub! Have you tried looking at Zego or Inshur? They both offer bolt-on options. Check with your main insurer first to see if they allow bolt-on insurance from other providers, as many do not.
@jamiebartlett46086 ай бұрын
@@autohustles yeah both have rejected me or just said we cannot offer you a plan at this time. and yes my main insurer does not offer a fast food option. I feel like i'm stuck at a wall here as both Uber eats & deliveroo have accepted all my applications and just awaiting insurance documents. so unless i'm wiling to ride a bike which i'm not i am stuck and cannot think of any loop holes. Ive delivered for yodel before as a courier and they put you on their own insurance so i have never known this.

I'd be furious if Amazon ever left a parcel with a neighbour. Really not a fan of that concept. As a delivery person you have zero idea what a random neighbour is like, nor the relationship or lack thereof the customer whose package you're delivering might have with them.

Honestly, I agree. But leaving parcels with neighbours if you’re not in has been a normal thing here in the UK even before the days of Amazon.
