@@Manny_Olivassss it’s all about the barrel first turning toward the catcher as the swing starts. This gets the barrel on plane faster which better allows you to hit the ball at any point in the zone. A lot of hitters….young kids especially….their swing starts by pushing hands toward home plate creating that pushing of the barrel at the ball. It’s more of an “armsy” swing and to a lot of hitter it feels like a strong swing. Working barrel back first creates more of a bat whip quickness and relies more on the lowe half of your body to generate the power. It’s more effortless use of your body in the swing instead of muscling your arms through the ball.
