Hittrax Exit Velocity Testing will take place after on-field hitting! Also a big update: it sounds like Monsta recently announced that they will we discontinuing their M2 bats - and will move forward with just M5, M6, and M7 (tentative). Not sure exactly what their reasoning behind that is, but if anybody has any additional insight or speculation, feel free to reply to this comment with your thoughts! Additional commentary below contains *spoilers* so don't read until after watching: Both kinds of bat testing are super important: 1) Exit velo testing off of a tee shows how good the bat is when you square it up perfectly every time. 2) On-field hitting exposes how easy or difficult it is to connect with that ‘perfect’ spot on the barrel. And hitting off of real pitching also shows how the bat reacts to a little bit of incoming velocity. The M4/M6 seemed to get “bullied by the ball” as we like to say - resulting in more rollovers and slight mis-hits. The M2/M5 powered through the ball much better and created a lot more ideal loft/spin.

The rumor mill on the topic says it’s a patent issue with the M2. Not sure, but this video was great. Loved everything about it. You might need a dedicated pitcher though will for live BP. That other guy was crushing it but you had to hit quite a few balls over your head 😂. Seems like a real awesome dude though so no disrespect intended to that baller. I like that this will even out the game some in ASA. The M2 tech is just too superior in ASA right now.

I finally got on the Monsta bandwagon last year and I am sold...I got the Bat Hound's Unleashed model of the Sinister and although it was way heavier than my other 25 ounce bats, performance was great...the balls have that crack sound when hitting them and the balls jump...i have felt that "i didn't get it feel" when i hit the ball but the ball flies anyhow...when you do feel it, it really goes....next up for you guys is the Utrip Suncoast Austin Dawe balanced 12" Ruckus and the CE version and the new 12" Ruckus Endload.....time to get these on the national radar...very popular down south Florida way...great job on the Monstas, boys

I'm just taking a stab in the dark here but I'm thinking the talk of phasing out M2 comes from the abundance of inventory of the last years bats. There are a TON of re-paints on the market so by announcing they are done with M2 it drives up both demand to move those as well as the price. With how much better the M2 tech performs compared to everything else, I'm willing to bet the new M7 tech will be suspiciously close in feel and specs to the M2.
