Absolutely! I do a video every time I take things apart 😬 scary taking apart my ASR-10. It was like opening up a crypt. Total gasp of nicotine vapors. And animal hair. Good deal tho 🤘 sick assembly track. Lol “Canadian Bacon”

I always loved the way you used the Revox Ken.. like an instrument at times! Remember I actually bought one back in 1999 and had it at the studio for a while - I think it was broken and John Vrtacic fixed it for me! To be honest - I'm not even sure where it is anymore - It might still be at EAC in storage? Wish I had it after watching your videos!

This is something I do every day at work. I fix atms and cash recyclers, basically financial machines, I video everything I break down just in case I get confused when I needs to reassemble. It's good advice. At least take pictures.

You're channel is awsome, it's actually surreal to get tips from an artist who has some responsibility for most of the records in my collection. I'm curious about a video on finding the vocal level "sweet spot". I'm currently finishing up my 2nd record (1st was splyntr "noise and brotherhood"), now the 2nd, "dead sound foundation". I find difficulty pushing the vocals infront of the instruments, often I find the vox to loud in my mixes, and when I make adjustments using eq and compression, I feel I get into a muddy mess. Perhaps it's my ears. I try not to follow "norms" when I produce, but I think I'm questioning if there is a "norm". Should vocals find themselves "infront" of the rest of the tracks?

Hey Ken, I think I've watched this video like 3 times. I've seen some vintage images of studio guys daisy chaining 2 A77's about 2 feet apart with a tape echo loop. Also, how's the A77 being used in your workflow some 2 years later ?
