For anyone having trouble with the back spikes - if you heat the holes with a hairdryer for a few seconds it will loosen them up and make it very easy to put the spikes in. Just be sure to wash it with cold water afterward so the plastic doesn’t warp too much.

As others have mentioned, this looks like a shrunken down version of the NECA Alien Queen, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. This is a really nice looking figure on the part of Hiya Toys. Thanks again Spot!

I just picked up the Resurrection Clone Queen, and it's absolutely beautiful. But those back spine attachments were definitely tough to get into their socket holes. I had a whittle down a couple of the ball connectors just to get them into the sockets. Overall, I love it.

I'm very late to this party. I just got mine, and after reading your comments and after I tried a few times to get those back spines in, I thought I'd try heating the plastic holes with almost boiling water. Sure enough, the plastic softened a little and they popped in really easy. If they ever fall out again, try this method.

This was a super huge pain in the ass to put together. I took a screwdriver and enlarged the peg holes on the back and very carefully got all six spikes in. One still broke and I had to superglue it so be careful as hell should you buy this.

I had to superglue 3 spines for mine and one of the arms broke. I love thr figure but regret getting it.

Great review Spot! I've gotten the queen a few weeks ago and am trully impressed with it's level of detail, paint job and articulation. The only puzzling thing is the mispelling of the work ALIEN which reads "ALINE" on all of the Exquisite mini boxes of the new releases. Is this just a typo or a subtile way for Hiya toys to avoid trademark legal issues with 20th Century Fox?

@@danvladoiu9365 It is kind of crazy that nobody noticed this before it went out. Just checked my alien warrior and facehugger/eggs. Warrior indeed says Aline while the facehugger/eggs say ALIENS.

Why would they get in trouble with Fox? The box has the logo and trademark so these aren't likely to be 3rd party unlicensed products. This was most likely an honest typo (benefit of the doubt) but Hiya probably didn't think it worth it to redo all of the boxes that had already been produced for the initial run. A shame since a blatant mispelling like that makes the whole thing look like some cheap Aliexpress knockoff but Hiya also don't strike me as big a company as, for example, NECA or Hasbro.

@@DR676767 looks pretty good but I can't do a comparison til my hiya toys Queen finally arrives... the revoltech Queen has non articulated fingers on its main hands though...

@@DR676767 I have both. Sculpt: Hiya wins hands down. Much more fierce and sleek and thin profile to the queen. A real beast. Revoltech is more chubby. Articulation: Revoltech allows for more articulation and range of movement, but the ball joints are gigantic and exposed. Hiya's concern was more about the looks. Their head and crown have better articulation though. Painting: Revoltech looks better and shinier, but both are still bad. Anyone can paint this better than both companies did. Hell, I can and I only painted a few kits in my life. Conclusion: if you prioritize the looks only, get Hiya. If your thing is articulation and posing, Revoltech is better.

I bought one of these just this last month or so and I have had nothing but trouble keeping her standing. I feel the pegs on the stand and the holes on her feet are nowhere near long enough to give her adequate support and with the queen being so too heavy the support stand itself isn’t nearly as sufficient as it should be. Detail wise the figure itself is amazing, cannot fault it the detail and paint application is spot on but like I said above what’s the point of all that effort if it’s a pain in the ass to get her to stand. I’ve literally spent about an hour on occasion after moving her location to make way for other statues or just dusting her and I have to try and situate her again. I mean I’ll give Blu-tac a try and see if that works just to give her some extra stick but I just feel it’s more trouble than it’s worth even if the price tag is pretty decent

@swnerd -23 Yes. It worked for all my minatures. All 6 np. Once they cool, they stay in solid.i have some aliens that have different hands to swap out. It worked on them as well. It's like magic.

yeah the spikes are not easy at all to put into the little holes, a lot of it really is that the plastic is soft and its bending on the balljoints when trying to get them in there right?
