HJC V90 Modular Helmet Review

I got one at the beginning of this riding season and I love it. Super comfortable and quiet enough for rides around town on my Vespa. The dropdown sun visor is fantastic on sunny days, and it does a good job of of keeping my head cool on hot days and warm on cold days. I ordered the same size as my Bell Mx-9, Medium, and the fit is spot on.

I have one of these and love it now that I learned the trick from you on how to close it. Grabbing and closing it at the top of the visor works! Thanks for that! Other than that, good aero, relatively quote, and looks super with a vintage or modern classic. And the vision/field of view is second to none! It is like not wearing a helmet at all. Sadly the USA importer only brings in the black versions and I had to get mine from the UK to get the white color, and I actually go one of the Mobix variants. Fiberglass, ECE rated, great looks, great vision.........and reasonably priced too!

Actually looks really good as a retro LID and it comes with more practicality(modular and internal sun visor) then every other retro lid. If I had known about this one before buying my NEXX X g100r I would of gotten this one

How would you compare this to the more popular retro-styled full face helmets currently on the market like the Bell Bullitt or Shoei Glamster? Seems like it’s better equipped but heavier. Is it any quieter than the competition?

This might be the perfect add on to my HJC V60 for winter. How does this perform in the rain? I heard some of the other retro full face helmets like the Bell don’t perform that good in the rain, so curious to know!

Unique looking helmet, looks querky in a good way, had a few HJC helmets and must say the quality is fantastic and have all been very comfy indeed.

Hi guys, Hey I am a more intermediate oval with a circumference of 23in/58.5cm. This size tends to set right between a Medium and a Large in most helmet sizes. Should I go with a Medium or the Large with this (HJC V90), or any other helmet for that matter? What do you all think? any insight will very appreciated. Thank you all :)

Hi Tommy, it's always tricky to advise in situations when someone is in between sizes as we are all different. I would smiley suggest to either order a Medium, try it on and if it's too tight you can simply return it back for a refund or an exchange. good helmet, good quality. BUT there is a huge but, it has not got a nose-breath guard and without one it is intolerable!!! even in not such cold weather the fogging is unstoppable!!!.... So keep it in mind HJC. make a breath guard for this helmet.... even better if you are not planning to make a second edition make it as an extra to buy... ALSO the huge vent on the top could be a bit more integrated to the round shell so that it not looks like a gap or a stair! It will also reduce the noise that is a lot. Keep in mind that most neo retro café or scrabler style motorcycles are fast and naked... bring us a helmet that is retro in style but don't compromise safety and comfort. It will sell. everybody is looking for one helmet to much his retro styled motorcycle

@@f.i.l.d.e.p.s I don't think it's personal preference to not want your lid to fog. but for sure if there is no breath guard or a "bandit" style equivalent of this helmet in a year that I ''ll buy my new helmet I will look some other company's retro helmets.

HJC are good helmets. Not so keen on this. Bubble visors had their day. A long time ago.
