This is now my carry gun and has been for 5 months. It’s at the top of the size and weight scale for what’s a reasonable expectation of daily carry, but it’s easy to use with winter gloves and unbelievably durable, reliable, and accurate. Simply put, it’s a gun I’m extremely confident in betting my life on, in any and all circumstances.

Thanks for the great review! I'm considering one of these as my first 45acp. You mentioned the "heavy" weight multiple times in this video; however, I'm perplexed. A common weight range for a 1911 is around 42 ounces. The HK 45c weighs 28.48 ounces. While that's a bit heavier than a typical micro-9mm, it seems VERY reasonable for a 45acp of its size. Additionally, I think this gun would fall into the category of justifying the use of a nice shoulder holster rig (although there are a few significant negatives that go along with the benefits of using that type of holster). Thanks again. I always enjoy your content.
@carscigarsscotchnwatches5158 Жыл бұрын
There is no weight issue. It's a 45 and it's light for a 45. I am sure there are lighter polymer guns, but HK overbuilds everything, so it is no wonder it is heavier some others, maybe.

My daily, through the summer. Vedder light tuck, appendix carry. Very comfortable. 6’. 225lbs. Also just want to point out the USP45c is bigger than the 9/40 version.

I switched from my HK VP9 9mm back to 45ACP and traded for a HK45c, it’s a bigger pistol and has some weight to it, but I am big guy and these pistols have a great military history and are built like a panzer tank.

One of the features I like about my HK45C is that you can rack the slide to clear the handgun without taking the safety off. I am normally a 1911 shooter but this HK feature stands out in my view.

I’m a HK and .45 guy and I’m torn between the HK45C and USPC. I have a first year production HK45 and love it. I was thinking the LEM Variant.for them. But I also love the Condition One Variant, 1911 cocked and locked. I’ll have to watch your video on the USPC. Keep up the great content.

The HK 45C looks odd to me. It has the frame design of the P2000 but the slide is a shortened version of the full size HK 45 (which is also similar to the P30 & VP9). There must be a good reason for HK to do that. However, I think if the HK45C frame was similar to the P30SK & VP9SK (along with the interchangeable back and side panels), it could sell even better as a modern alternative to the 1911 platform for a 45 ACP handgun along with the awesome ergonomics on the frame.

Hard to find anything to complain about on this gun, but I do wish it had the P30 style grips. However, there is nothing wrong with the USP grips. I’m sure HK had a reason for the decision, probably shooting while wearing gloves?

Im in love with 1911 pistols, but they are far to be perfect, they are old and they fail, yes they fail a lot and if is not it will, trust me. Now if you are down for invest a couple thousands and get a Wilson, Nighthawk, Les Baer, Ed Brown, fine those are hand fitted guns, do doubts hands down go for it. But 1911 pistols are very unpredictable when going to fail feeding or extracting, they will. But 45ACP still up to this days a excellent caliber for defense, yes yes 9mm ballistics of this days bla bla bla, but the same expanding ballistics are applied in the modern 45ACP and if we going to physics mass matters. If you like to carry 45ACP 1911 pistols you know you are in the game with 8 slugs +1, same is the HK45c you are not under gun at all and the HK go boom every time with any ammo, way to go HK45c.

I love my HK45C great carry gun, not exactly tiny form factor but is manageable. Load up some of those Liberty Civil Defense 78Gr rounds and let them fly and then throw a few of those Underwood 255GR Hard-cast's downrange. This pistol offers real flexibility, while taming the recoil. I'm a small home based FFL guy and I've had more clients that held my HK45C order one for themselves. I have the DA/SA, but truly I love the LEM version as well. You cannot go wrong with this pistol, its not possible.

Don't know why I was hoping you'd use the number "10," in the round count. The way round count's are increasing in the microworld of 9mm, I guess it's too much to ask for that to translate over to .45.
@TheConcealedCarryChannel3 жыл бұрын
Lol. I guess they did not want to make the firearm any larger then they had to (Being a compact). They do make extended magazines in a variety of sizes for the HK45C. Thanks for watching!

I carried the HK45C for a little while before I snagged a P2000. The P2000 is about .25" shorter. Otherwise, the grip is nearly identical to an HK45C. The HK45C trigger is nicer than on the P2000,

Open carry, yuck 🤢
@Critical-Defense Жыл бұрын
Lol open carry is amazing. I prefer it by far and even when I want to conceal an open carried firearm all it takes is pulling my shirt to the other side of the firearm. No one is paying enough attention anyways. Plus constitutional carry usually applies to open carry, not concealed.
@Critical-Defense Жыл бұрын
@Tony Stark naw, I don’t think so at all. If someone is going to do something they won’t be scanning for a holstered firearm and I usually keep a shirt over my pistol and holster.
@Critical-Defense Жыл бұрын
@Tony Stark AHHH, now I understand. We are certainly in two different worlds. I wouldn’t open carry anywhere north of the Mason-Dixon Line. I spend a couple of years in State College, PA and although it was rural, I carried IWB. However, I live in Columbus, Georgia. No real crime here (as long as you annex the south side of town from the crime stats) and Georgia is about what you’d expect as far as firearms go.

Love mine, but only complaint is that the DA trigger pull is horrendous. Way too long and heavy, I get around it by only carrying cocked and locked, The single action pull is more than acceptable and greatly adds to accuracy ( from the first round fired, onward.
@bri13wvu1 Жыл бұрын
@@Murray-wj7uc Yes, HKs are awesome, except their DA pulls. Cocked and locked is good if you're configured for it. Have you tried the LEM trigger? It's a game changer. If you're handy you can buy the parts and convert over
