The match trigger is pretty addictive! Once you get used to it it's hard to live without. I recently added a USP45 Tactical to my HK collection and was so blown away by the match trigger that I picked up a kit for one of my USPf9s, too.

+FirearmTutorials .com Is the regular USP 45 or 9 worth it ? I really want a Tactical out here in CA, but they are VERY hard to come by (and technically illegal if they still sport the threaded barrel). I know you can drop the Match trigger into a regular USP for around $150 if you are resourceful, but I'd rather have the real deal with the o-ring'ed barrel and all. Thanks.

Take a look at the USP Expert. I have a few videos with it and it's the best of both worlds. I think they are on the approved list in CA. Good luck.

Well, while practice helps with trigger issues, here's a caveat.....some pistols do not lock up in the same place every time, and some have barrel movement after lock up.

Same for me. I practically had to re-learn how to shoot my SD once I put the match trigger in. I was so used to the break of the old trigger I took a few hundred rounds to get used to the match.

I've never heard of a 9mm sport. It could be the custom combat version. The only adjustment that can be made with these tiggers is the over travel screw in the back of the match trigger.

@mr.horseshoe230110 ай бұрын
@@FirearmTutorials Several sources (mostly HK forum posts) state otherwise. The consensus is that in order to have a true match trigger on the Tactical, you need to buy: 1. Match TRS (215679), 2. Match Nickel-Plated Flat Sear Spring (215691), 3. Match Hammer Spring (215694)
@FirearmTutorials10 ай бұрын
@@mr.horseshoe2301 then something changed. I can't see HK putting in just the trigger with over travel screw and not thev rest of the match components. I have many USPs that came with match triggers. The latest is an Elite in 9mm. I'll check the flat spring and hammer spring later but I'd bet my next paycheck it has all the match components. I forgot to mention the match hammer itself is different and is marked with an S on the side. I'll keep you posted.

is there any way to modify the pistol trigger to get rid of the lag/ "mush" as you call it?
@FirearmTutorials10 жыл бұрын
Yes. You would have to modify the trigger bar and other components which risk defeating some of the safety features. Gray guns have several trigger modification packages available to address that. Their work is top notch but comes with a price.

Thanks this is exactly what I was looking for.. So basically if I buy the match trigger kit for my compact usp 9mm It will work the same but I will have to keep the orgininal trigger and just won't have the over travel screw? Any downside to that? Do they make a match trigger for the uspc?
@FirearmTutorials9 жыл бұрын
You are correct. No trigger, but Bill Springfield can drill/tap the compact trigger. I don't think not having the over-travel screw is a show stopper, but I like that feature of the match trigger. Thanks for watching.
@johnvoit28309 жыл бұрын
dose the match trigger set drop into the USP Compact version in 45 ?
@FirearmTutorials9 жыл бұрын
No. The match trigger replaces several parts of the internals. It will work in a compact but the actual trigger itself won't fit so you won't get the over travel screw unless you drill and tap the original one. Thanks for watching.

Problem I have with HK is the fit when you hold it.This isn't 1945 if a CZ can make an ergo CZP10 for 400 then HK can get off they're butts and make an ergo grip as well. I'm sure it can still be mil spec and comfortable. My 45C is the same style of frame and the safety digs in , and there is no positive lock on the frame . The flat sides and long length from back to front of grip is. Holding it is like HK doesn't care about how it feels just that the name requires you to buy one . Although I'm still waiting for the poly squeeze cocker double stack . So the Alien pistol has competition . And the prices come down.

The P30 has the grips you are looking for. That said, I didn't like it as much compared to the USP.
