HKNowStore & Zcube Unboxing: Bubbloid 4x4x5 & 5x5x4, Hex Skewb, Witeden 4x4x2 & Crazy Octahedrons

In this video I unbox a Calvin's Puzzle Carl Hoff 4x4x5 and 5x5x4 Bubbloid from HKNowStore, and a QJ 14 face skewb hex, Witeden 4x4x2, Dayan Octahedron, mf8 + Dayan Crazy Octahedron Jupiter and Saturn from Zcube.
The Bubbloid 4x4x5 is in limited edition blue and turns quite well, but it does sometimes occasionally catch and pop. The 5x5x4 is very stiff, but hasn't popped yet.
The Witeden 4x4x2 seems very loose, and it looks like a camouflage cube, even though it isn't. It does shapeshift, but for some reason I never thought of that while scrambling it.
The Dayan octahedron is I guess what you'd call corner turning, it's very snappy, I guess maybe it has a ball bearing mechanism, it has a lot of spring noise too, but I don't mind that.
The Saturn Crazy Octahedron turned very smoothly with not much catching, but Jupiter was very stiff and would catch and lock up pretty bad, with pieces wanting to pop.

I like the format of your puzzle unboxing videos. You let us know where the puzzles were bought from, you show us how they were packed, and you give us a chance to observe how they move and scramble. All very important facets when deciding to buy a cube. You just made me a subscriber.

Thanks for the review. The logo you didn't recognize is David Ang's cubewerkz.com logo. David is the one that approached me over 2 and a half years ago and got this mass production project started. If pieces are popping the puzzle is too loose. The corner caps are not glued on so you should be able to rotate a corner about 60 degrees on one of the 4 pieces edges and grab a cap of a neighboring corner and simply pull it off. This will expose the screws holding the corners on. Tighten the screw to remove just about all the play in the spring and the puzzle should never pop again and the turning should be improved as well.

For your information, the tips on the dayan puzzle do turn but they are really stiff at the start. Once you get them going they are perfectly fine.

How can anybody forget to shapeshift a cuboid? :P The 4x4x2 is a very interesting cuboid IMO even though I don't own one. I'm actually in the process of designing a "Scramble 4x4x2" that'll combine the standard 4x4x2 with the "Scramble 3x3x1" that shapeshifts, so the puzzle will behave in pretty strange ways..

Am I the only one who noticed that dayan octahedron is just cornerless 3x3 in octahedral shape with turnable tips on centers?
