Dude, I can sooo tell that you don’t wanna sell it at all!! 🤣 👍 i’ll be picking my manifolds and turbine housings (GT2859R) from Zircotec here in the UK - Performance White ceramic coating, can’t wait!! I do like HKS but I do feel you are paying for the name more than anything. The stuff coming from AUS (PRP, Plazmaman etc) I do feel is better and better value than stuff coning from Japan these days. I have been working with Emtron ECU’s (aussy) recently and have to say, they are a cut above the rest! Looking forward to the install dude! 👍👍

That's awesome, glad you got a new set of turbos for your RB. Always exciting to hit that boost and pushed hard back into the seat. I would agree with you the PRP stuff is really nice. I have not seen any Plasmaman stuff in person, but from what I hear the quality is top notch and yeah like you say the price is more competitive. Looking forward to doing the install video, it will be a piece of cake with the engine out of the car this time. Thanks for watching, cheer! 👍

Love the content! Absolutely heartbroken to hear that you’re considering selling the GTR. I have a Stagea 260RS on the way and have been binging your channel for a few months now. I hope things change and you’re able to keep the car. It sucks that the setbacks you’ve encountered were due to third parties and have impacted you negatively. Hang in there brother, keep your head up. I’m looking forward to seeing that big smile return once you put this thing back together in the coming months!

Your right, I have not felt like smiling for a long time. Glad to hear my vids have helped you out with your 260RS. Stagea's are sweet, I had the chance to drive one a couple of years ago. You guys will see a big smile on my face most definitely when I am hearing the engine run for the 1st time and getting back on boost again. Thanks for your support. I appreciate people input and encouragement, it helps me to stay motivated on track to finish and keep making videos. 💪

@@JDMRightHandDrive Hey man I've just discovered your channel, the video is great. I have an R33 GTR and struggling to get enough funds to buy a house, but selling the GTR is out of question, I'll just save longer. Only way I'd sell is for health issues for me or my family. You'll end up regretting it if you sell :)

Glad to see you’re going that serious route man! 2530’s are Superb man. And I bet even with the newer models - compared to the older KAI’s I bet those GTIII’s will make you happy. The Powerband on those twins are almost unreal. And yes like you said the GT-RS’s are bigger GT-SS’s but are Laggy. They only make serious response on a 2.8 Stroker but even then aren’t as good for responsiveness as the 2530’s. They’re comparable to 2540’s - MCR BNR34 is a good example of that. I’ve never had experience with the Tomei Elbow. Only the Mine’s but I can bet they’ll make your 2.6 scream! I didn’t know HKS had swapped to using Mitsubishi Spec’d turbos now. Back in the day they were Using Garrett’s - the only Turbo companies using MHI were Mainly TRUST GReddy and IHI - A’PEX Love seeing it! I enjoyed the video and looking forward to the install. I’m curious to ask but what ECU are you on? Do you have a ROM tune, piggyback or have you gone full Standalone

keep it up man, always keen to see gtr content on your channel, seem like a real humble guy! keep doing what you enjoy, worth selling if its going to make life easier, sell off the bits, get cashed up and then you can start again, basically like building a business from ground up, that's how I would approach content if i were you, start with small and cheaper builds and get an audience, then soon enough you will get 100k subscribers if you can keep on grinding, and then you can do better purchases and builds. Id say a big thing will be good editing, reach out to a college student down in AZ and throw them some cash, get them filming and editing with you or for you when you can afford it, anyway that's how id do it, also your wrx videos, a few got thousands of views, be worth dissecting and seeing how you can capitalize on that and re create similar vids. I wish you all the best man I will keep watching!

Thanks, I appreciate your insight and support. I'm going to work on all WRX content for the next 6 months in attempts to appeal to a larger audience and hopefully grow my channel. I will save all the KZbin revenue during this time and finish the GTR later on. Getting views on KZbin and growing a channel is much harder than I would have ever thought. Like to said, its like building a business from the ground up.

Great video man, I was wondering if you were going to cera-cote the killer N1 manifolds, good job 👊🏻 I have exact same setup with my R32. My project was finished last year(fall) so I got a ride or two in before parking. But found my front 2530 leaking a small amount of oil into the suction side. I’ve been looking at new ones like yours. So thank you on this footage, time to save and park the car until I have a set. After a monster rebuild I’m not risking anything on my N1 engine.

Yes going to have them ceramic coated for heat management. Thanks for watching.
@joshuaho3150 Жыл бұрын
If you do sell I don't blame you. It really takes a lot out of you mentally when you're constantly fighting mechanical problems. A major project like an engine rebuild is also so much time spent dealing with uncertainty, the cost of mistakes is high. That certainly weighed on me too. It's not like a cheap Miata where you don't feel bad if you ruin something.

Yeah its overwhelming for me to deal with everything. Nothing is for certain as of now.

Shame you're looking to sell, I like your videos. I guess this is why I've left my 260rs stock. I don't want to open the can of worms that is modifications for more power. Especially as I have other cars to maintain and enjoy.
@JDMRightHandDrive Жыл бұрын
I have been thinking the same thing to myself. I should have not modified my car. I put 20k kilometers on it with almost no issues. Once I added the big turbos, oil blow buy issue. Then after installing VCAM it didn’t last long. Should have installed a new oil pump. I know that if I would have stayed stock, I would still be driving it. Thanks for watching.

Are these pressure controlled actuators? if so how did you set your boost levels?
@JDMRightHandDrive5 ай бұрын
The turbos do have actuators built in set to a specific boost pressure selected by HKS. My guess would be somewhere around 1 bar. Your boost controller will allow you to turn it up more.

ever thought about rebuilding the stock twins with steel internals?
@JDMRightHandDrive Жыл бұрын
The last twins I installed were R34 turbos with modified compressor housing and lightweight billet compressor wheels. The CHRA ball bearing center cartridge failed and filled my oil pan with metal fragments. That is why I pulled the engine for a rebuild and decided on HKS with journal bearings.

@JDMRightHandDrive Жыл бұрын
Picked the names because Japanese cars are known as JDM, which means Japanese Domestic Market and my GTR is right hand drive. So JDM RHD is what I initially came up with with no intention to ever build a KZbin channel. But here we are a few years later and now my channel is known. Probably could chose a better name now if I knew what back then what I know now. Thanks for watching though!

What I meant to add was I get your points about the family aspect, but imo you are giving up due to failures you have encountered throughout the process and since I have an r32 gtr of my own, I can promise you the money you have wasted is due to bad advice and decisions made while building it. If you love that car, don't give up on it. Just source better advice in your journey with that car along the way .....

Thanks for your insight and concern. Nothing is for certain, I still have the car. And yes you are correct, some bad advice and decisions were made with the build. I have been feeling completely frustrated and overwhelmed with everything. I don't want to have any regrets in the future and miss my car if I sold it. I will have more on this topic, I will be sharing you all you guys on the channel. Thanks for watching. I always enjoy hearing from fellow GTR owners.👍

@@JDMRightHandDrive I only voice my opinion because I know where you are coming from and dont want to see another gtr owner/fan suffer. Either way, good luck on your endeavors and I will continue to watch and support your channel. Maybe in the future we can get our cars together and just drive! Good luck bud!
