Well damn Robin, you're my cousin too! Seriously. My 4th GG, John Shelton, left Kentucky and married Isabella, an immigrant from Paris, settled in Baton Rouge. His son, John Jr. came to Mississippi and settled. We have a family cemetery where most of us have been buried since John Jr. I'd be proud to take you cousin.

Someone asked if I was cousin’s with Robin and I had no idea. Kentucky has 2 Mead/e lines, so it’s possible. My grandpa came from Pike county Kentucky and it’s close. When they mentioned Rhodes W. Mead a lightbulb went off. Rhodes is my 2nd great uncle. So now I know she’s a cousin for sure. I am surprised we resemble each other and have some of the same dna because it’s not from the Mead/e line. They’re very UK European. We must share other Melungeon ancestry. 🥰

Being form the South where 'roots are deep, I enjoyed this video. America's Robin Meade is not only beautiful and talented, but is very proud of her heritage and Family. I am also a descendent of Rhodes Meade, Sr. Originally Quakers from Bedford, Virginia , but moved to Kentucky & became a Baptist Preacher after joining the tent revivals

That was wonderful. I will say I can't tolerate much on main stream news these days but Robin has always been something my husband and I enjoy watching as we get our day started. My father's family is also from Magoffin County KY and also Morgan County. We are also related to Blake but twice over, on his Shelton and Chastain line. Thank you for sharing your story.
