Very nice,if I remember right the old ambassadors had a single rod from the steering wheel to the box.I have heard senior mechanics saying that was the next strongest rod after the axles in the car.

Ours is HM Ambassador Nova with BMC 1.5 L Diesel Engine. It is using 20W-40 grade oil. When dipstick is checked, Oil is so much diluted. Showing 1 - 2 cm above the max level limit line. Previous month it is at correct level. Seems to be diesel mixed with it. No signs of coolant. Engine oil pressure is now below 1 kg/m^2 than usual. Can lift pump may be the issue? What may be the possible reasons?

Get your fuel injection pump checked. Maybe the FIP is leaking fuel to the gear drive mechanism and the diesel then mixes with oil. Make sure that it is not coolant that is mixing with oil. Normally if coolant gets mixed with oil then the oil will turn whitish brown on the dipstick.

@@bosegarage Ok I will check. It is not coolant. Oil have its own black colour and lubrication property.

@@ambadisbapputvm1863 Then get the FIP checked. May be diesel is leaking to the engine from the drive end side of FIP.
