What are you screwing the frame into? Drywall? And if there was a stud where you put those screws what do you do if you only have drywall to screw into?

Great question K… You definitely need to find a stud to secure it to. A wall will have a top and bottom plate that you should be able to secure into. Last resort would be some hard-core anchor or toggle. I hope this helps.
