I know warships are a niche market and I don’t expect to get many subscribers but if you come across this video please like and then share in any model groups you may belong to or to people you feel may be interested. Many thanks.

My great grandfather served on the Agincourt, I have all his old diaries of every day of service during WW1 including the battle of Jutland. Nice to see your model.

Looks beautiful. I love that her turrets were named after the days of the week.

Seizing Agincourt and others from Turkey greatly influenced their aligning with Germany in WW1. "The Ship That Changed The World", Dan Van der Vat. Good read.

Absolutely incredible achievement! I've actually built a waterline, 1/550 - 1/600 scale model of the battlecruiser USS Lexington, but it doesn't even come close to your ship! I have a Warship International magazine that deals with Brazilian Dreadnought designs and the Rio de Janeiro/Sultan Osmond I/HMS Agincourt figures prominently in it.

Special ship. Interesting history. Not the most sensible design to say the least but nothing quite like those 7 badboys. Brazil probably mostly cared about the propaganda/prestige aspect of the ship. British would have never built something weird like this, but weren't gonna let it go to a potential German ally like Turkey. Which probably was illegal but very sensible: This did certainly hasten Turkey joining the war but I don't think it was the real reason for Turkey joining Central Powers. If Turkey did have these two Super Dreadnaughts + Goeben/Yavuz Battlecruiser... The tiny Turkish navy suddenly become a much bigger problem: The could dominate Russian Navy in the Black sea and cause some "Fleet in being" threat against the British and Italians in Aegean/East Mediterranean.

do u guys know the source? like that shop with electronics the slogan is i want that thats what im saying to this thing

Well it may have been larger but it had the armor of a battlecruiser. It would have been a battlecruiser if not for the low speed compared to the Lions, Renowns and especially HMS Hood. Hahaha It was a SLOW battlecruiser.

This ship have so many guns that it might just tip over if all guns are fired on one side, luckily it didn’t.
@sirmalus51532 жыл бұрын
No, it wouldn't have tipped over after a broadside. The ship fired many broadsides at Jutland, and was reported to have blown up a few times. but this was due to the amount of flame observed by other ships, after all the turrets fired at the same time. A most impressive ship yes (the real one) but lacking in armour protection really.

Nice looking model, now all you have to do is give her some weathering!
@rcmodelwarships68935 жыл бұрын
ive always prefered weathering, however if this was to go into a competition they would want to see a nice clean build, which i find strange
@ausfan1002 жыл бұрын
Were her blast bags really that yellow colour?
@rcmodelwarships68932 жыл бұрын
thats a good question. i will try and find out
@ausfan1002 жыл бұрын
@@rcmodelwarships6893 - My late grandfather who served on HMS Iron Duke in WW1 told me they were white, although over time, weathering caused them to be a shade between very light grey / off white. That's why I was kind of startled to see the yellowish tone on your fine model.

@rcmodelwarships68932 жыл бұрын
@@ausfan100 reply from builder. I've never seen a colour photo of a World War 1 battleship so the colour is my interpretation of weathered canvas. (seen a lot of tents) In view of an eyewitness account I'll change to light grey next time she has a refit. Regards, Ron

The Craftsmanship Is Unbelievable! -As It Right Ought To Be For The Ship With The Most Unbelievable Presence, (I Mean, SEVEN TURRETS?! -FOURTEEN GUNS?!) -And It's Most Unbelievable History Of Previous And Wannabe Owners! -But You COULD HAVE Made It Easier On Yourself, -Saving Time, Money And Materials, - By Building The LATER Version Of H.M.S. AGINCOURT WITHOUT The Flying Bridges Over The Middle Turrets And STILL Give Everyone At The Model Meet That Same Sense Of Awe Of Just The MODEL"S Size! -And THEN Hit Them With The Size And History (And Previous Ownership) Of The ACTUAL Ship!
@TheMrPeteChannel2 жыл бұрын
7 main turrets. 14 main guns & couldn't hit anything!
