I can only hope either of these two magnificent craft come down to New Zealand. That would be amazing.

Our son is one of 6 blokes to the right of the ramp deck. Me and the missus were at the Semaphore tower at Pitch house jetty. We have been round her 4 times and we’re onboard for commissioning ceremony. Fabulous

The Pennant number is RO8. in 1960 I joined HMS Bulwark an earlier RO8. I sailed to the Far East for an 18 month commission. I was all of 19 years old. Unforgettable. This video made me feel proud to have served.

As with all massive ships, it becomes apparent how TINY man is and how BIG his creation is.

Odd to see two pilot houses. Guessing one for the ships movement and the other for flight ops.

This video shows very impressively why Germany needs 2 aircraft carriers. Ford-class :-)
@liondecka90623 жыл бұрын
No, Germany needs not a single carrier. NATO partners should support and complement one another. Together with France and the United States, we have enough aircraft carriers against China and Russia. Hugs from Berlin, Germany
@ugotissuescupcake52022 жыл бұрын
we didn't join NATO to compete with one another. we joined to compliment each others forces. The stated "roles" for the US Navy, Royal Navy, and the German Navy are quite different. pie in the sky thinking Germany needs even one Ford-class carrier. Which of those three nations could best be the anchor that holds continental Europe's territory long enough for the UK, Canada, France, Spain, Italy, USA and all our other Nato partners to gear up? UK? can make a good case for them, but they aren't on the continent. The US? at the moment we can't seem to figure out how to walk and chew gum at the same time. Lion Decka is right.
