This is my first try in english to demonstrate you the progress of the construction and building of Gore Canyon. I will soon make a tutorial about the way I build and paint the rocks - perhaps I will start with that challenge within the next few days...

Those rocks are absolutely incredible! What an inspiration. No need to buy molds, store them, etc. - you are fully 100% in control. You have convinced me to try carving - I just saw your carving video as well. Maybe after a decade or so, I'll get something that will in some way resemble rocks :)

Alright, I’m subscribing. You’re giving me hope I can pull off my idea of the “High Line” ledge section of Durango and Silverton line in Colorado Rockies. Gonna do a ~18x30 inch N scale. The rock walls are like a mixture of this gore canyon and the rocks you built in your tutorial... amazing work, best I’ve seen, makes me want to be carving right now...

This looks just GREAT coming from at expert at making such rocky scenery. Reminds me of the ancient Mayans who carved a stone to fit exactly next to another stone. Just kept adding one stone at a time until complete. Have no idea how this could be done in a reasonable time must have been over years. Tom

Hello, your canyon is fantastic, it is so realistic 🤩 but I have a question: is the plaster not so heavy ? Because I build a modular layout ( I hope I will show it at a future exhibition maybe…) and of course I will transport it from a place to another one. You did a wonderful job 👍

Do you take some kind of measures to be able to pop open a tunnel if a derailment occurs inside of it? If yes, can you show how you do it? I was thinking something like a lid or moving piece of rock but i'm not sure how to accomplish it. Thanks!
