Hi Dave, thanks for the shout-out! Hmm....a toolbox full of trucks and trains, now that's my kind of toolbox. Looking forward to seeing the completion of your Oak Harbor set-of-doubles! Steve

Hi Dave ,l can see another awesome build in the progress ,,funny how you say about the decal /stickers ,l ordered some decal paper and when it arrived it was sticker paper and they tryed telling me it was decal paper ,think they say that so it sells..

Yeah that sucks brother, stickers are not decals, but you're right, if they can just get 1 mil. people to buy it they have $$$ in the bank. It's sad really because they won't get my return business.

You said you remove your plastic windows and windshield from the trucks before you spray them with dullcoat or anything else. I've taken car and truck windshields in the past and masked them with tape where the windshield wipers would clean them, then sprayed them with dullcoat. Doing this leaves the windshield looking dirty where the wipers don't reach and clean where they wipe and clear the rain off. Very neat effect if you want to go that far. I've only done it for cars and trucks that will be close to the front of the layout. Just throwing that out there if you've never thought about that before. The truck project you're doing here is gonna be neat when done. Stay well. -Wil 👍

Yes that is a good technique, if you've watched my past video's you'll see I've done that before, among many other custom options. I think that looks very good when applied to model's. Thank you for your comment. Dave B.

@@ruatrainman2 Don't feel that I've not watched many of your videos but I'm subscribed to many channels and it might have been you that I picked this technique up from. If so I'll thank you for sharing the idea before I have. I didn't come up with it on my own, I definitely seen a video of someone else that had figured it out and shared the idea. 👍

Nice idea with the toolbox for your ongoing projects. I usually have mine in bins and it’s easy to fall into the “out of sight out of mind” mentality that way. And I, for one, will never give you grief about a cluttered workspace. Mine is a DISASTER.

I have all sorts of storage areas for build projects but the tool box is cool for keeping it in one place and too heavy to move at will, hence the " Trip over it ,it still exists" mentality lol. I do have too many projects though.

Nice! I'm building a set of FedEx Ground doubles. Same tractor but white, 1 smooth trailer (A Line) exterior post trailer (Rail Power) and a dollie (A Line). Stickers from Graphics on Demand and number decals from K4 in Ohio. Unfortunately no pictures are available for the trailers and dollies but I found tractor pictures. The trailers I'm modeling are no longer in service but I was a mechanic there and worked on plenty of these style trailers. So the smooth trailer will be a Wabash and the exterior post trailer is a Strick...

That is awesome, both A-line and Rail Power Products make very nice and realistic components for your build, so it should look great. I wish more trucking decals would hit the market for modeler's like us. Thank you for the comment, I really appreciate it. Dave B.

So why Oak Harbor Freight? Are you in the PNW? That’s the only place I know and have seen them at. That’s cool, because I might need one or two more of those. Good work.

Hi Steve, I have a lot of custom truck builds, but most of them are not on my YT channel. I do live in the PNW, central Oregon to be exact, I have a few other truck builds on my channel if you're interested. Dave B.
