I'd watch this video over and over and many times over.

Another great video to watch as I drink my second cup of coffee. W&LE is a interesting road that still uses ex-Southern GP35s on AAR trucks.Those could be modeled by using Athearn RTR GP35s and adding AAR side frames and a Cannon short High Hood. I was up at Bellevue yesterday railfaning and saw a W&LE train pulled by two GP40s and of course being a fan of short lines and regionals that WE train was icing on the cake.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm not sure how in depth I'm going to get into modeling this railroad. Right now, I just have a couple more units planned. Though one of them is their "movie star" #6354. Needs some cab modifications on it to make it look as it currently appears. It's retained some of the features it was given for the Unstoppable movie. Then I also plan on doing the 3016 as well. Beyond that, we'll see.

What is the coal being unloaded from the 2 100 T. UP hoppers at an adjacent industry being used for? It looks like it's being trucked somewhere.

If I had a layout that large I wouldn't go anywhere should throw a few steamers on that layout.

How do you guys come up with all that money?
@RailfanJason7 жыл бұрын
Just like any one who has a home layout. Only difference is we don't spend money on that, we spend it here with others to have one massive layout. Every member pays for their one stuff, the club has it's savings account to pay for it's stuff, plus this club has been around since 1990. Had a long time to get to where we are today.

Nice video! Like the weathering on the cars. Just wondering, do you need a membership or something like that to run trains there?
@RailfanJason7 жыл бұрын
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Yes, if you want to run trains, you need to join the club.
