HO Scale Railfanning on the Miami Valley Modular Railway

My dad, son, and I belong to the Miami Valley Modular Railway, and have for years. It’s nice as it gives me a chance to run mainline freight and passenger in contrast to industrial switching on my home layout.
There are trains of several eras and roads in this video. The layout here is 25’ by 55’ oval, which is about half our normal show size. It runs on an NCE wireless system.

The Milwaukee Road and Conrail trains look so realistic they'd pass for the real thing. Looks like a nice size layout to build a big train. PS. The. MILW Auto Parts boxcar two from the end was perfect weathering as I never remember any of them in clean decent paint

Those are actually AMC Gremlins. I made that several years ago, the company that made them is long gone. My son and I are tweaking some 3D files, we hope to print vehicles in mass so we can fill more open racks.

@@beerlinemodeler LOL, I love it even more then. Even the name "Gremlin" was bad not to mention the car. The two cars that unfortunately brought the demise to AMC - the Gremlin and the fishbowl known as the Pacer. I loved the Javelin and it's a shame they are gone. If they would have made more cars like the Javelin and improved their quality, they may still be around.

That is a steam turbine. I think only one prototype was ever built. It’s a brass model.
