AWESOME LAYOUT!!! and it makes your Hi-level Cap look grand! Rode it from IL to CA every summer as a kid from '60 on through Amtrak and continued to ride it in the Amtrak era as #3-#4 out of Galesburg, IL...close friend (also an avid ATSFhi-level buff) and I designed our Trakworks 'Hi-level Interiors for the 1st run of the new Walthers hi-level consist back around 2013! With a 13 car consist (including 2 Budd Baggage and PS Baggage-Dorm), took a year to paint and apply our computerized interiors to both upper and lower levels...definitely a labor of love! Would love to see it run, like yours, on such a beautiful layout!!! Thanks for sharing... 🙂

That's a beautiful F-7 A-B-B-A set. I recently acquired an Overland Models lnc F-7 A-B-A set. It's in near mint condition and unpainted. I came here to watch your video and see what ideas I can draw from it for the models and a future layout. I must say, your video is very inspiring. 😊

In 1963 my family rode the San Diegan from San Diego to Los Angeles. Then we boarded the El Capitan from Los Angeles to Kansas City, Missouri. That was a class act. After a 12 hour layover we boarded the Rock Island destined for St. Paul. No further comment.

Did the drumhead come stock or is that from Tomar?

The drumhead comes on the car, but the user has to add a light to make it light up. Walthers makes a kit for it
