I like the manual. To the point. Clear and useful instruction in an adult language. You just cannot go wrong with PROTO Diesel or Steam. Great review and video.

Coming bitterly off the press with my Rapido experience, this model is a breath of fresh air of how things SHOULD be done. Even the certificate of quality made me smile. As I won't be buying anything from Rapido (they can't get a diesel right, imagine something with so many moving parts) I would love this classic model on my rails. Thanks for the unboxing treat.

I actually had the Rapido D10 pre-ordered for about a week or two until I came to my senses. This is a well built loco and it was a breeze to install DCC and service myself.

The reason one of them did not work properly on 15-inch radius curves is because they are meant for at least 18-inch curves. Great model though. Got a CN Proto 2000 0-6-0 from my local model train store for $175 CAD/$127 USD (I think the store did not realize what it was because the previous owner modified the locomotive by moving the headlight from the top of the smokebox to the middle of the smokebox door and moving the front numberplate). It was in mint condition and I can say that it is the best locomotive I have ever had. I highly recommend buying one if you can or want one.

They are great locos. Pretty much everything says minimum 18" radius but more and more things I try tend to work pretty well on the 15". In the end, I'm happy with the one 0-8-0 and don't regret the second one not working.

Excellent locomotives, tender connection much better than Broadway or Bachmann, do like the steamer, great video, I keep looking for 0-6-0 switcher

The 0-6-0s are nice too. They all have tender pickups I beleive and with a keep alive they'd be bullet proof.
