Reminds me of another HOA story, where the HOA tried to argue that the "original draft" (the FIRST "this is how I imagine it could look" drawing, before even giving any offers to buy land or filing for permits) was legally binding and therefor OPs property was under their jurisdiction. That's like saying "I am thinking of buying that land, so I now have authority over it".

Because they NEVER happened they follow this format..... Post old story from reddit first .... then post AI written rubbish ..... you can see how it is written by a computer with how they say cops show up to something and say this is a CIVIL thing when some one has just destroyed private property in some stories they say some one caused thousands of dollars in damage which is silly as if you do more than 1000 bucks damage it becomes a Felony. Also they talk about how they show papers and go to court battles, when one phone call to local zoning council office would have shut down the claims instantly ..... Sorry but if the county records office has a map that says one thing, any paper some one has in their hands the county papers stand as the legal ones.... The post this rubbish hopping for clicks and views in the hope of earning money from YT....

It isn't defamation if its true. Besides, OP didn't post the 'defamation' it was the news papers. OP had nothing to do with that part. Plus Karen's part of this is a matter of public record.

Depending on where the lawsuit happens it doesn't make a difference. For example, (and pay attention to the ending) A defamation lawsuit in Japan refers to a legal action taken against someone who publicly made false statements that damaged another person's reputation, considered a crime under the Japanese Penal Code, where even if the statement is technically true, it can still be considered defamatory if it harms someone's reputation by being publicly stated; meaning one can be prosecuted both criminally and civilly for defamation in Japan. (Straight from a quick Google search)
