The Process of Harvesting & Make Carrot Cake - The most Delicious Cakes - Warm Dinners with the Kids

If you don't know which food to choose that provides the body with the necessary nutrients, has great taste and can be processed into many unique dishes. Then perhaps carrots are an extremely reasonable choice. Carrots are a healthy vegetable, crunchy, delicious and contain lots of beta carotene, fiber, vitamin K1, potassium as well as antioxidants. Eating carrots is very suitable for weight loss, helps reduce cholesterol, improves eye health, and even reduces the risk of cancer. Because of these many health benefits, today I prepared dishes from carrots. First I need to wash and peel the outside of the carrots. With these carrots, today I will prepare two dishes, which are carrot cake and carrot soup with minced meat. For carrot donuts, I need to cut the carrots into thin slices, then steam them. With carrot soup with minced meat, this is a very simple dish. I just chop the meat, stir-fry it, then add water to boil. We can cut carrots into our favorite shapes then put them in the soup pot, and add spices that suit us. Back to the carrot cake, after steaming the carrots, I will crush the carrots and add soup powder, sugar and flour and mix well. Then shape into small round cakes and put them in a frying pan. With such a very simple preparation method, the dish is extremely delicious and attractive. I think it's worth you guys trying it out. One of my favorite things to do with freshly harvested carrots is to carefully wash & dry the carrot greens, and turn them into a "greens" powder that I can then add to foods later in the year. Carrot greens are a little spicy-peppery, but only a little bit, kind of like watercress but with their own flavor. They can be eaten raw or cooked. And because I dry them, they retain almost all of their nutrition, vitamins, minerals and such. However, I don't blame Huang Hoang for cutting them off and leaving them behind. Even if they are lightweight, the carrot greens take up so much room!

So the TIME that we Westerners spend on preparing dishes is much shorter than an Easterner needs. The negative side is that Westerners PAY MORE. You know, its a shame that you are wasting the carrot tops as they are edible and nutrient rich too. You should find a soup recipe to use them in or add them to stir fry. I don’t understand why you all love to work off of the floor or ground so much. You built yourself a nice, roomy, outdoor kitchen where you could have a large table to work off of and save so much strain on your back and knees. 🤷‍♀️

You know, I myself do not understand why Westerners all HATE to work on the floor or ground so much. Always working at a table reduces one's flexibility to the point that bending over becomes painful. Anyway, simply see it as a difference in culture. But it takes very little bending or flexing in the wrong way to be the straw that breaks the camels back and cause an injury. Besides that, keeping food items up off of the floor can help keep them cleaner and safer from insects, pests or even bacteria. There are many good reasons to want to improve your environment, especially a kitchen area. Culturally… Hoang does wear modern clothing and shoes every day, used modern power tools to build her house, the swing and teeter totter and kitchen, as well as other things, and she uses reasonably modern cookware, etc. At this point, adding a large work table and maybe even a couple of chairs or a bench to her outdoor kitchen is not unreasonable or a culture breaker.

The counter is quite a modern feature being added to many farm kitchens in viedeos that I watch. An extra worktable is an EXTRA departure from the local culture. Look at the comparable time-frame in the West. I think that the East is steaming ahead MUCH FASTER than the West ever did! You eat something that in your country is called by that name, but is nothing like where it originated. The carrot cake that Hương makes is probably a Vietnamese recipe that uses the same words as name. I would not know, because I am not a rabbit, nor have I ever eaten carrots in the form of cakes of any kind.
