We bought a house a long time ago that the previous owner was a serious smoker and cat owner. Needless to say every surface had to be cleaned, painted and flooring replaced. We were able to buy it at a very low price because of this. There was a front hall closet that gave a blast of the past smell even as we were moving out to a bigger home 5 years later. You are a brave person to take this on. This person is blessed to have you.

When cleaning electrical devices (tv, computer, the wall near outlets) spray the cleaner onto your cloth and THEN wipe, rather than spraying the item directly. If you spray directly on the back of tv, you could get shocked, and if spraying directly on the screen, the cleaner can get under the edges and damage the interior of the screen. "Every square inch" is usually an exaggeration, but in this case it's literally true! Awesome work.

The only thing is that no one can be in the room when it is on, and after it turns off you have to wait for 30 min for the air to clear out, but it helps with the smell and also kills bacteria and fungus on carpets, walls, drapes etc. Great work! Great job! I know they ---and especially their poor cats ---have to be immensely relieved to have such a clean environment. Cats are fastidious creatures by nature, so unless they have not been spayed/neutered or have an underlying health condition, they usually only make messes when their litter box is dirty, etc. Sadly, that's often the case because when people are too depressed to properly take care of themselves, they usually aren't doing a top job taking care of their little friends. I hope this reset helps EVERYBODY who lives in that apartment live better, happier, and more peaceful lives. You are a blessing for them all.
@littleblackpistol2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's a sign of some form of animal neglect when cats are spraying. They should be neutered, full stop. Not neutering is usually a sign of a useless owner, ignorant, cheap, or just filthy by nature themselves. They should have CLEAN litter boxes, full stop, no excuses, don't have animals if you're going to wimp out on their basic care because you feel sad. Take them to the vet to check they don't have urinary infections that cause urination outside their boxes. No excuses. Got zero time for people who wallow in depression and neglect dependent animals or children.

@@littleblackpistol I have to agree. I have depression too. Sometimes the only thing dragging my rear out of bed is to take care of my cats and turtle. I won't allow them to live in filth. On another note, as some who used to be part of a cat rescue organization, the best thing to get rid of the cat odors & stains is Nature's miracle enzymatic stain & odor remover. In a pinch or on a budget cleaning vinegar and baking soda can be really effective. Cleaning vinegar is also really good at getting rid of nicotine odor and stains because it breaks down the tar and deodorizes at the same time.

I kept forgetting they were there and knocking them over so I used a cup and put it in all the window sills and after changing ammonia a few times ….smoke smell gone! I used it in a car that we purchased way back when newly married an it was cheaper because of the cigarette smoke smell! I smiled inside till the deal was done and I scrubbed everything and would leave a mug of ammonia in it each night and allow it to draw out smoke smell! I saw you scrubbing the ceiling and walls by hand, and I kept saying, "Use a mop!" But then you started using a mop. lol It helps so much when trying to clean those surfaces.

Looks amazing!!! 🤯👏🏻 The room needs a hamper so that even though he doesn’t have a washer/dryer at least the dirty clothes can (hopefully) be contained ☺️

Just a suggestion, I got a spin mop and I do the walls with it, and it’s amazing. So much easier than wiping them with a rag. Your probably done now.

I wonder if baking soda on the carpet would help or that scented one for pets that I can get from Dollar Tree.

Ground in smoke and pet mess needs either a professional cleaning - which is serious deep cleaning done with machines - or just burning and replacing. There are some rug cleaning channels on here and they spend hours and pro products and use serious machinery cleaning pet-soiled and smoke-stinking carpets. They seem to need full on powerwashing, machine-scrubbing with heavy detergents, and repeated applications, to get them remotely clean. You watch the piss and filth pour out of them with each rinse. It's horrifying. It's nothing you can really do at home.

I've never had depression thankfully, so it's very hard for me to understand but you're doing a wonderful job to help out the homeowner. I hope it is maintained and the owner is receiving medical assistance. What a difference on those walls and ceilings.. You are very kind and very thorough doing them as well. How long did this take you to do?

Guuuuurl. From one clean freak to the next.... use one of those swiffer sweeper things with the long handle, put your cleaning rag on that and use it on the ceilings and walls. Your spine will thank you? Mr clean erasers can do wonders and Stoners invisible glass is fantastic on all glass surfaces. You did a great job here though. Hope this tenant has a brighter future. Alright, nevermind guess I should watch the while video first before I suggested the wall and ceiling thing. Lol

A swiffer mop that uses pads, not the sprayer one, works great on flat celings and walls, including upper portions hard to reach like above the tub n shower wall surrounds, high up cuoboards and shelves. And they smell fenomonal. My apartments put popcorn celings in, i miss not cleaning my celings.
