This is absolutely AMAZING! I am so proud of you to be able to say bye to all those items and not bringing them back in the basement when they didn't sell. I know how hard it is to say bye to them when you see them again months later and start questioning yourself if you should keep some of them just in case. You did AMAZING! Brilliant idea, she will need some sorting system for the craft inventory, it seems great to sort the cathegories in bins. I guess that it will be difficult to even finish sorting in one day, then the tubs will be handy if she doesn't want to put everything in piles on the floor. :)

I actually did a "Retired Teacher Give Away" over a year ago, just before school started. Filled my church fellowship hall with my stuff and gave away nearly 150 boxes of children books, big books, posters, bulletin board sets, thematic units and math manipulatives! I have about 40-50 more boxes to dort through for give away. (Some books for my grandkids and pulling out Spanish books for a Bilingual school. On my town we have a 'Really, Really Free Market' about once a year. Good idea for a church or school to sponsor. I also use my neighborhood 'Buy Nothing' group.

You pointed out some good ideas in this video! Nice work! One great tip after a yard sale is to never bring the sale items back inside! Load them in the cars and donate! Secondly I make the last hour of the sale Free! But I only an announce that as they approach the driveway. People are amazed and thrilled! And it's less for me to pack up.

I don't have a yard or as much stuff, but I've been clearing the backlog of things to take to the Eco Centre and the Reuse Centre, and it feels really good to get those boxes of stuff out. (I had a big backlog due to those places being closed during the lockdowns.)

Yay! That's so great! We've found what's best for us is to always have a bin or box going for our local thrift store. When it's full it gets taken out of the house to dropped off as soon as possible. Thank-you for sharing your journey.
