Yeah, it’s so amazing! They broke down the temporary set after Lord of the Rings, but when they filmed The Hobbit, they made it permanent 🤗

You need to allow at least a couple of hours for the Gardens they are something special. But be aware that next year they will be charging for the themed gardens so try to get there before February, you will love them

Very good advice indeed, we used to call it "ParticipACTION' - get out there amongst it . Yes, New Zealand does coffee, baked goods and hospitality overall, very well. Now that you both can cross off Hamilton from your bucket list, next time you head south from Auckland, take HWY 27 via Matamata. You can even get to Rotorua via HWY 27. It comes out at Tirau, then re-join Hwy 1 for a very short distance and veer left onto Hwy 5.

i have a question, i am heading to new zealand in january. and as a mayor fan of the lord of the rings, i know they say the tour is 2 hours but is that enough to see everything?

If you want to spend more time there, definitely book the evening feast. But book now, it gets full months in advance. The tour we did was nice, but would've liked at least 30 more minutes, maybe a bit more even 😅

Lol! That’s why we’ve waited almost a year to go to Hobbiton 😅 if you’re earning NZ dollars, it’s not that bad, but if you come on holiday from South Africa … hopefully you’ll have saved enough, because it’s well worth the visit!
