Everything looks so clean and neat for a city. Unlike here in SA. Love the Plants and flowers too in the city and surrounds. The quality of life looks so much better there. Transport looks so great. Gee Wizz that last cake thing looked amazing. The expensive one. 😊 Thanks for taking us along. I enjoy your videos. So nice for people going to Auckland for the first time. You are appreciated.

Don't be fooled. Transport is almost non-existent. The place has the worse traffic problem in the World. The whole place is chocked by vehicles with the few buses delayed by the horrendous traffic. There are no trams, trolley buses and virtually no suburban metro. In some cases ferries are the fastest option. There are only 3 long distant trains: Auckland-Wellington, Picton-Christchurch and Christchurch-Greymouth, that are all tourist trains these days. There are no long distance freeways, just short stretches in the 3 main cities. This makes long distance driving on single carriageways very dangerous due to overtaking and junctions. The driving death and injury rate is horrendous.

I was on the Viaduct area on Tuesday 22 Aug- when it is sunny , Auckland is definately a picturesque city with the harbour

Im an expat in Auckland visiting atm after 20 yrs from Sydney.The city seems a lot bigger than thought mainly because of the extension of the Viaduct area. I like Albert, Federal st ...its very pedestrian friendly. Night life seems pretty active on Viaduct Harbour on Friday/Sat nights but seems like queens st is dead at night. The city will really propel itself with the underground train stations hence all the construction

Ahh sweet! That's finally coming through! Super stoked 😁 ohh there is a quaint hot chocolate place. The chocolate is all made in Wellington and is melted into the milk to make the hot chocolate. It was the best by far! Called Bohemien - not sure if it's still around. It was just off Fort street. Also how are the dumpling places there?? Absolutely obsessed!

Oh my word!! After the sneak peak on Instagram, this video is just so much fun and mouthwatering. Even the name is so inviting to try: mango cheesecake! And all those colored macarons, yummy. Desserts look yummo. Akl has come along way all these yrs. I use to work @ Britomart when it was the main Post Office. Started working @ the PO in 1979 then came across the ditch for a holiday the same yr when I was 17. Never returned to Akl. Still in Sydney.

Those areas remind me a lot of area's like Melrose Arch and Rosebank. Lot's of unique high class eateries with prices to match. I really enjoyed how you met up with Craig. Is he working on/at one of those construction zones you passed?

I work near Miann and always have to stop myself from looking at their desserts! Also would you believe I have met many kiwis in the last 4 years living in Auckland that actual complain about their transport system! The old bus cancellation at the most unfortunate time is annoying but the next one is not too far off most times.
