The more I watch your videos of this , the more I'm itching to get mine out of the stash and started !!!! Looking fantastic and I like the clear colours for engine weathering . I have used alot of the clear Tamiya colour range to blend and merge colours on some of my armour builds. I'm going to destination use the same method as yourself on the A-10s engines and I may add a little clear yellow too as that can make it look a little more burned and used. Whichever way you look at what I may do or someone else, your video is the start of the inspiration. Really brill so far, my friend. If anything goes wrong or brakes please let me know, I have two of these kits as I ordered two by mistake. My plans are to do one in the box art colours but the other in the ghost grey . I just love the warthog in the grey as it reminds me of the ones that used to fly over the top of us in Iraq. Awesome and fantastic " flying tanks ". Hope you and your family are well . Thanks a ton Steve. Luckily, I managed to complete the build without breaking or losing anything (there's a first for everything :D). But thanks for the offer, very kind of you. This is a beautiful kit. I was kind of pressed for time so I made mine with the engine cowling closed, but I think that one can make this kit with the engine open as well. I think there is a great opportunity to add details on the engine and leave it open. The same for the canopy. This is a wonderfully engineered kit and a joy to make. So have fun with the build, when you get around to it. Hope all is well at your end as well, good luck and good wishes. Thanks once again.

The aeilerons you installed also serve as clamshell speed brakes on the real aircraft hence the upper and lower hinges.

Thanks mate. The airbrush I am using is Neo Iwata 0.3 mm, if I remember correctly. I also frequently use Harder and Steenbeck 0.15. But honestly, the Iwata works just fine for this kind of paint job. Hope that helps :)

Your model is great, but Sir why don`t you wear gloves when airbrushing ? it can prevent contamination of that paint to other parts.

I managed a hobbyshop over 30 years ago. Every paycheck I would buy a few models with my employee discount.I accumilated a ton of models which I never got time to build and have them today . I am regretting NOT buying ALL 1/48 scale.I am back into building. Its really hard detailing 1/72 scale. Oh what a bitch.
