Gee! The cows there in Australia have the same accent as the ones living across the street here. (The ones here must all be sleeping now.) I am truly impressed with your paint work. Your color palette idea makes a lot of sense.

Thanks Brant.. yes the colour palette idea is a subtle one but I think works well

I’d say seeing as it is a Microscale product anywhere that also sells Microset and Microsol decal fixers.

Hey harry i recently got myself a set of life color for a 1/700 scale bismarck. I've never used life color before and im just wondering what you use to clean your airbrush since the instructions said life color thinner is not for cleaning.
@HarryHoudiniModels6 жыл бұрын
I only clean Lifecolor from my airbrush with Windex and water. I also only spray it in an airbrush which has not had alcohol based paints, like Tamiya, to avoid contamination which leads to the paint turning to snot and jamming. You can thin Lifecolor with water at about 10% water to paint quite successfully... but if you need a much thinner paint mix you best use their proprietary thinner.

It’s an excellent paint, just don’t let it get too hot ot put metal ball bearings in the bottles to shake them... this contibuted to my paint going off and being useless for airbrushing. Hairy brushed its one of the best acrylic I have found. Lays down so smoothly people swear it looks like I have airbushed.

@@HarryHoudiniModels I normally use mr hobby or tamiya paints but since you gave life color so much praise i thought i'll give them a try as well.
@HarryHoudiniModels6 жыл бұрын
Well just be aware they are not compatible... Tamiya’s butanol base is toxic to Lifecolor and will give you no end of grief unless you thoroughly clean your airbush with windex and water. Although I haven’t used Mr Hobby, I believe they are also alcohol based acrylics. You’ll have the same issues with Vallejo, Ammo Mig and AK. All 3 are water based acrylics not alcohol based like Tamiya and Mr Hobby. My solution was to have two airbushes. One for water based paints cleaned only with Windex and one for alcohol based paints cleaned with Tamiyas proprietary airbush cleaning solution. Problem solved.
