Great tip. Any tricks for pinning metal or resin models?
@Metabreakers5 жыл бұрын
Jim Worthington great idea, will do a couple of quick tip vids for you

Don't bother pinning resin, superglue adheres to it well enough that if you drop it, the glue joints won't be what breaks, the pieces will just break in half.

I pin quite a lot but I have never thought of this technique. Thanks a lot! Also I still have a question. Do you have to use something like super glue to keep the pin in place at the end. I didnt see you using it for the needle gun of the model becouse the pin went in heated.

Thijs Zonneveld Glad you like the video, Yes in the end I still dropped a small amount of superglue on to get it to stay in place

@@Metabreakers Did you do a video on this after all? My Google-Fu has failed me and can't find it, and since i mostly work with metal models a kinda sorta equivalent of this but for pewter stuff would be very useful

Am I the only one that uses thick paperclips trimmed down instead of brass rod when pinning their models?
@Metabreakers5 жыл бұрын
tony lusardi for the main part my go to pin is indeed a paper clip for sure but for either finer pins or much larger pins 3mm+ I use brass rod or piano wire. Cheers for raising it!
