Best thing I heard u say, don't exclude yourself from a person because they aren't interested in you romantically, this is the folly of youth, as you get older you learn that the person of interest has friends of interest, if you play it cool a new world can open to you

Most of the time if you treat that person as a friend even if she is not physically attracted to you those walls eventually come down and she sees you as a romantic partner. Its weird that guys don't get this because that is NOT how we think mostly. Ladies tend to love us for stuff beyond looks, if more guys understood that we'd get a lot less toxic simping behavior I think.

Never submitted anything before, but I am semi active in the discord, perhaps that's the confusion? Thanks for reading my story :D I think comments on my stutter are a bit of an American thing. As a Brit, no one ever mentions my stutter really, and *never* as a first comment. But every American I've spoken to has done so. Sometimes it's the rather rude "wow you struggle to talk", other times it's a friendly but strange "oh my brother's sisters nephew's friend has a stutter too, that's so cool", or anything in between. I think it's just an element of their more forward culture.

lurkers are usually great since they end up in the hobby eventually most of the time (at least in my experience) but sometimes they can be horrible. i started as a lurker watching my friends play games in middle school and now im one of the only ones who still play.

I was wondering the same thing. Not been to any kent stores since I got back into the hobby (lack of opportunity being the main reason) and would venture to any I knew had the staffers that wouldn't make it a douer experience. I live 2 train stops from the Maidstone, so maybe I'll find the time.

Stuttering is a weird thing. People with it always seem to be lacking in confidence and get defensive about it. Had a friend who stuttered and I'd pretend not to care at all about it, which put him at ease. A couple of times when it got really bad I'd take the piss out of him saying things like 'you almost got it, nearly there, you can do it!' which would cause him to laugh and it'd deflate the awkwardness. Note that I said 'pretend', it was often annoying and sometimes exhausting, but apart from the occasional tactic, what do you do? You can't tell someone who's stuttering to relax and it's not like you can carry syringes of morphine ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Balt's story is a bit white knight'ish but I don't think he's lying. I will say that guys who puff up and go macho are *exactly* as annoying as simps and creeps. Relax, don't escalate, this isn't Afghanistan, just tell people to chill or that you'll be forced to tell them to leave the premises. You can have your line in the sand, but be mature about it and let people do their own thing.

As a person who stutters, I agree, it can be weird. But interrupting them or trying to take the piss out of things is more frustrating than helpful. Be patient. Please.. We have to be patient with ourselves too 🤣 Let us finish 👍

In general, sure, be patient and nice and kind and so on, but also realize that people aren’t endless fountains of rainbows and glitter, sometimes things need to be moved along and what I said was about deflating nervousness. I was more than plenty patient.
