Nice. I have a soft spot for WAB myself so watching this with trepidation and interest!

Thank you! After spending my formative years playing nothing but Warhammer, the WAB rules are just simple to remember!

I highly recommend the Hannibal supplement for WAB, which goes into excellent detail on the Roman army of the time. Easily available at shows, ebay or at Noble Knight. The Alexander the Great supplement will help you with your Macedonians equally as well. There isn't much of an overlap between the armies, but enough to justify them as a matched pair. Good luck with the project!

Thanks for the recommendations, John. I’ll definitely take a look for those supplements.

Victrix two types of packs, one for skirmish gaming with less miniatures and the other for large battle games of 60figs.

I'm just getting into ancients as well. I bought clash of spears and Triumph rules both of which I played at conventions. I have Victric Carthaginians and romans, Greeks and persians. I love the miniatures, however, the shield transfers from little big men are frustrating. Nice to get a hobby update, the figures you've painted look awsome. Maybe a video or battle report on your pirate board?

I was just chatting with my friend the other night about getting some Blood and Plunder gaming in - I’ll get round to it soon I hope! I love Triumph and always try to get a demo game of it at the conventions. Good luck putting those forces together - I want to get Persians too.

That’s very helpful, thank you! Still chipping away at these, currently working on some companion cavalry.
