Andy in uk. Bought this a week ago and crashed it by trying to do overhand toss. Replaced broken prop today and did my first ever left handed underarm launch. It is fabulous model once you overcome the left hand torque on release. It is fast, agile and also very stable at low speed. Lands like a dream and on mixed flying I am getting 8 minutes on my zippy compact 2200 4s lipos. Did five flights today and I really could not be more pleased. This is more fun to fly than my brewster buffalo, and that takes some beating. Well done hobbyking.

@@M4rkmcc21 APC 8x6 black electric propeller. Got mine from wheelspin models, cost about 2.66 each. I got 4 spares because the postage is the same as for one. Get the black electric not the thin black electric. It is identical apart from the colour to the one supplied by hobbyking. Hope this helps.

Looks like the old Tower hobby birds. They say there are two more? Maybe a F6F Hellcat and an F4U Corsair, just like the Tower birds. If so then glad they are bringing them back.

Got one on friday and it looks the part and flies really well. my only comment is the front cover cowl is exceptionally thin plastic so if you fail to flare then it cracks immediately. Easy to fix with some fibreglass tape and a bit of spray paint..but the base of the cowl could do with some form of reinforcement. Launch torque is defo a challenge so tilt it right and ailerons at launch. Don't understand the comments about its tragic history - Spitfires, hurricanes, concorde, boeing etc etc almost every single airplane has a tragic history that's not reason to not pay homage to a great looking plane. The only other thing to add is buy one plane at a time due to the Brexit thing need to keep purchases under £135 otherwise they cost an extra 25% plus £11!!!. Great value fun aircraft. I love it

I don't know... it's just another P-51. Moreover, I can not imagine why H-King has chosen to release the model of a plane with tragic history, while there are many other speedy Mustangs??? Maybe the color scheme is simple and it is cheap to produce (also looks like not a lot of custom plastic parts, I wonder if it even has any carbon or plywood reinforcements in the wings) or maybe it was designed >10 years ago? It falls into the same category as EFXtra, and I don't believe it flies better and faster than EFXtra (would like to see honest comparison). Looks like it was meant to be a scale model, but landing gear, flaps were removed, 4-blade prop changed to cheaper 2-blade prop and now it is sold as a fast belly lander:)

Looks fun! I love the livery, it fits what you’ve made. Can understand some of the generation who find it’s not in taste, but HK aren’t trying to build a scale warbird, so why paint it up as such just for PC. - the bombers and ww2 fighters in store killed far more innocents, where’s the butthurt about that? p.s. Love the socks Stuart, and really enjoying having you back.

Very nice plane but it needed a few tweaks. It was gliding nicely so I think the CG should be good, but on full throttle it pitched up way to much. Motor needs to be angled slightly down so I added a thin washer behind the top mounting points. Let's see what the next test flight will bring...

The BIG Question: How does this Reno Racer compare to the indefatigable (Hobby)King of Racers, the EFX Racer? Torque sensitivity on take=off and throttling up? I run my EFX Racer on 4S with a 7x4 3-Blade quadcopter prop pulling 1900gm of thrust - never really noticed the torque roll.

Nice video Stuart! The P51 planes are just great shaped to maintain good flight characteristics. That seems to have succeeded here too. But sorry, you expect a little more top speed for a model racing plane, even if that is no longer true to scale, because for me, having fun comes first. However, I'm interested in the terrible moment of trying it out with 6S, reinforced rudder hinges, and other components. Maybe like my Eflite Rare Bear with 4S and 6S, where I don't have to change anything and can easily get up to 140 mph and beyond.

Andy here in uk. Hi I watch your videos and was just curious as to why you were disappointed with this. I bought one from eu warehouse last week and love it. You have to launch underhand with left arm and keep a bit of up elevator and right aerolon as you release, but it flies like a dream. I couldn't recommend it more. Its a bit like the hobbyking brewsrer buffalo but faster and less twitchy, and the buffalo was my favorite flier. Glad to see you got your corsair flying well.
