Thanks for the demonstration, Yarn size does make a difference; I'm glad you showed that. Your final piece seemed to lay fairly flat too. I'm thinking this would make nice bags, purses and throw pillow covers. Nice video, thank you!

Thanks, yes in this case as well as other times, the thickness of the yarn will show differently, work better or not so well, so it is best to try out the different yarns that one want to make something with. I think your right on the pillow cover, for me at least, but hope that some get to try it out even if just a sample.

Roberta, thank you for this very helpful video. I recently purchased a refurbished Knitking AM3 c/w ribber, and I am eager to attempt manual techniques, as I have no experience with any ribber.

I wish that I could go to each and everyone's home or they could come to me so that we can spend time together as friends but also get to knit on a machine, either I show something or they show me something. We all help each other in our own ways and what makes life so much happier. Berda

Big Sigh ... I know what you mean! However, you have dvds I can order as I progress.

wouldn't this be possible if you had a punch card No 3 (or the No 1 with using each line in two rows) and do one pass with tuck one with slip and then the next row would knit? But I think this would make the slip knit behind the 1st and 3rd knits that are tucked and not inside them. Probably a different effect

I would have to try that to see, very interesting.
