This has got to be the best Agwagon build! I love that your choice of engine is gasoline. Ag planes just need it for a realistic plane. Thanks for the informative video!

Had an older Seagull kit, an Edge 540, under powered it with a G-38, however it flew rather well. They put out very nice kits. This one looks good as well.

Great vid! Be careful of the back pressure on the exhaust. Could cause you issues at altitude, too. I would say gain altitude slowly on the first flight. Looks like a gorgeous plane. I see quite a few ag wagons here. BTW, I really like the drill you used to install the servo screws in the fuse and canopy! Looks POWERFUL!!!

I felt exactly the same way about those flap hinges. I'm really surprised that Seagull found those to be acceptable.

Amazing,, Thanks for your video. I am starting my first build ARF of a balsa model (Phoenix Corsair 0.52). Which video would be the best to learn to build (installing the servos, pushrods, mounting the engine, fitting fuel tank and tubes linkage to the glow engine, glueing the hinges, installing the gear, etc.) and how to measure the CG (should I fill the fuel tank first!). Thanks
@HobbyView
@HobbyView 8 ай бұрын
Try looking at my old P-47 assembly video. It's probably the closest to a glow engined model build: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYvCkKmdoKeYj9U For your Corsair, measure the CG with the tank empty and landing gear retracted.

Mr. Fritz , that is a nice plane, nice video i am looking forward for the flight. I need some advice: i found a p38 foam plane for my son ( 54inches) but he is still learning landing and taking off, do you have an advice about what could be a good trainer plane to prepare him to fly his p-38? the instructors mentioned a apprentice sts, but i am not sure ....do you have an advice? many thanks!!
@HobbyView
@HobbyView 9 ай бұрын
Apprentice is a very good start. Learn to fly that confidently first. I would also recommend something like the e-Flite T-28 (1.2m version) as an advanced trainer before going to the P-38.

Another great video. I'm wondering if the spray rails are only meant for smoke or can you spray water out of them if you wanted.
@HobbyView
@HobbyView 9 ай бұрын
Yes, technically you could spray any thin liquid through it. I briefly planned to spray colored water through it.

I was looking at the manual of the Seagull Ran’s S-20 for a possible purchase. It also uses offset hinges but they have fuel tubing over them to keep the halves together. Maybe seagull has been getting a bunch of negative feedback about this issue with the hinges separating.

I have learned from experience to fly this bird more like a warbird after a few close calls. While it looks like a gentle civilian plane, it has a wicked wicked stall.

Remove the struts. On the real zag Wagon the struts are aerodynamic and do not have an adverse affect on stall speed. Not so on the models, where the struts cause the stall speeds to rise. Be prepared to take a bag along to pick up the smaller pieces.
