Hobbywing program box doesn't work

2 out of three esc's ive bought lately have not connected. 120a esc's

Risky buying used esc,s. If it's new esc,s then I'd say stay away from cheap surpass electronics

@HoyVintageCycles I prefer castle. But there not cheap. I got a mamba x with a program card used on ebay. 100$ a year ago. It's my favorite esc. I have corally 6s esc also. Hobbywings . But castle is my favorite

Each manufacturer makes there own program cards. Rtr cars usually don't work with any program card

Damn buddy I got the cheap one and it worked fine. Did you plug into the port that the fan plugs into? I had to unplug fan port and plug mine in that port. Hope that maybe helps. Also check that your plug into the esc isn't reversed. Try turning plug the other way.

Chris Watson yeah I had it plugged into the right spot. Where the fan goes. I'm not messing with it no more. Tuff to get to that plug. I had to remove the esc. I just glued it back in the truck. I'll program it manually when I'm ready to change the settings.

Wallys Rc Addiction hey try flipping the plug, it might of been reversed. Also you can do it with the esc in place, just use a pair of tweezers and you can pull plug and insert the hobbywing plug. I'd say go with the cheap 10$ card. It will program the esc on the maximus. Also there is only like 5 or 6 things that the card will program. When you do it manually can you set more than 5 or 6 settings?

Chris Watson I can set 9 settings. So yeah. That's why I didn't think that card was the correct one. Something is wrong with this box. I tried again and it won't light up now. Def is a broken prog box. I'll be sending it back and getting the cheaper card. Ty bud. Much appreciated

Wallys Rc Addiction Hey that's cool to know about the 9 settings manually. Just keep in mind with that cheap one you can only program the first 5 or 6 ones but they are the main settings so it definitely is worth 10$. Thanks bud

It may just now work with the sc8. Sc8 has different programming options than the Max or xerun series

I've got the latest top of the range 200amp HW esc, and the v2 program box with software upgrade and receiver wire disconnected plus radio off, and it still won't save any changes I select, it is locked in the way it was set up by the Bluetooth module in store

@@TashaRandom123 The latest top range is the 300A 2000A burst MAX4, next is the 250A Max5 G2 HV and it's a great deal for both being 12S Turns out I was not plugging into the FAN port not the signal wire like Castle. For now I take my words back 😂

Turn your remote off. I just had same issue. If remote is on, the connections cross.

Your plugged into wrong port use bec for power and plug other one below capacitors on esc
