He ha........ thanks for the video....makes me want to fix my boat so I can sail again , at 67 I need warm sailing winds and water ...the hobie 16 would be a great boat to sail from Florida keys to Cuba

But darn uncomfortable in the long run
@normandgallant81063 жыл бұрын
@@chrisc9611 method is only for people without kids to look after, we all need to feel uncomfortable to experience comfort , ya even sealice is bad , easy to get on a wet trampoline ....a dry suit and some rum and cigars for me I can sail anything ....you have to zigzag anyways , you could hit a big boat and maybe died and be eaten , why the rum pain killer .....the cigars relaxes me

In those conditions your crew should be on the trap, and behind you. It's his job to balance the boat fore and aft. Super nice video. A pitchpole now and then is good for the cat sailor. The Hobie 16 is such a well made boat, I used to hit the beach at full speed. I'd never do that with my Inter 20.

Merci!

thanks for the memories, we took our Hobie 16 out through the surf a lot. On days with little wind, I had to lay on the hull and paddle to help get up through the waves!

If you have ever been over blown in a Hobbie on a broad reach, and did not end up in the water. You will know the feeling of fear and fun all at once.
