Nice video, Steve. Just wanted to say that the system is designed to have about a half inch water gap between the transducer and the plastic for more accurate temperature readings.

Yes I just read that somewhere

Great tip Steve. Love the bloopers, I start coughing every time I record.

Thanks Jeff. It's like a switch turns on when I start to record and at times I start hacking when the entire day I hadn't coughed once.

When I installed a transducer on a bass boat [shooting through the hull] I had to put a glob of silicon and press the transducer in it to insure there was no air bubbles between the the hull and the transducer. Would it be necessary to add the silicon glob on the plastic panel that you put your transducer on?

I really enjoy your videos. I'm taking my kayak out on the intercoastal of Oak Island next weekend while visiting my in-laws. I was hoping you could give me a few tips on some of the best places to launch for good fishing.

Sorry I'm late replying. If you launch at Wildlife on Fish Factory Rd, go to ICW and turn left. Half mile or so on left is Dutchman Creek. Fish back in there at creek mouths. Shouldn't be a lot of boat traffic and it's nice back there.

I'm more than likely going to get jump ship when I get back to the states and get an Outback this time around. Kinda sucks that you pay that much money and it doesn't come with tracks already installed though. Probably will still get one though.

Do you get accurate readings with transducer mounted that close to the cover?
@myadventureoutdoors6 жыл бұрын
Yes, your reading will be accurate.
