Hi Rosie,this was your standard 2013 version hobie outback with the soft seat that had clips,i may have a picture of it somewhere if you don't know that model

Why not use a 90 degree copper fitting instead of 45 degrees for the seat?

The 90 was to great of an angle,think it ended up sitting too high for the 90 to work so that it could go into the stern mounts,can't remember the exact reason but i know their was one,also since then i replaced the stern mounts with two more quick fists,also the two pad eyes have come in handy for ruff surf launches,I've been attaching the chair with a gear tie threw the pad eyes,still a solid seat to this day

Good question ,I don't see why it wouldn't ,I don't think many changes were done to the hull design through those years,even if it is slightly off it can still be adjusted,the only problem with this mod was the quality of the seat,I got about close to a year out of it before the legs rusted out,I used it offshore primarily so that may have had something to do with it,good luck

Yes and no,for wheeling around yes,but for storing them threw the top when im on the water no,but i also use giant beach wheels so that may be the issue,also as an update I've used this seat now since I've uploaded the video plenty of times now,no regrets,it is the best mod I've done yet,i have used the extra eyes in front of the chair though for extra chair sturdyness
