Your comparison was spot on. I have a 2019 compass that I purchased during Covid and they didn’t have any outbacks left. The money I have spent rigging could have brought an outback. Compass still has been a good kayak. What type of problems have you had with the outback?

Complete Hull replacement due to a crack under the seat. Spine change on my drive within 6 months. Have had the new hull and drive for almost a year no issues yet. Thanks for watching.

Slight difference, compass has a little more maneuverability and less stability than the Outback. Neither would be a bad option, if you plan on adding anything (fish finder/ power pole) the Outback would be better, the more stuff you add the more stability you lose. Im considering downsizing my outback to a compass as the outback can be a bit big and heavy off the water especially for those quick trips where you take minimal tackle.

Fala pescador. Moro no Brasil. Porém perece que a Hobbie não está mais vendendo aqui. Estou tentando trazer diretamente do EUA para o Brasil. Só que não encontrei uma loja de confiança.

I don’t want to be fixing a kayak that I don’t have to. Definitely, would buy the Compass instead or even the Passport 12.0.
