Make sure you have the oversized Boonedox backing plate for the PA. If you dont have it, you can get 2 from Boonedox. It spreads the load out over a large area and minimizes the potential for cracking the hull. Also don’t overtighten and crush the hull.

I see you certainly did make some improvements -- awesome! I just upgraded to a PA 14 from a PA 12. I have the Boonedox landing wheels on the PA 12. I love them! AND I had my kayak shop install them -- I'm not handy, so based on your remarks, I'm glad I had the shop do the work! And they waived the fee since I was also buying the Hobie, landing gear, and a Boonedox T-Bone bed extender. The PA 12 is still pretty heavy (I'm 70, and often young fellas and gals would offer to help me haul it out -- and I always gratefully accepted!). So I got a Dynamic Dolly. I'll use the Dolly for my new Hobie PA 14. But I ALSO got a Malone kayak trailer. Loved how you used the Universal Mounting Plates! Awesome! Roger, The Smiling BassHole

@@AnthonyNordstromFishing 🤣 Yes. Swearing is what I do best for DIY projects. Luckily my son-in-law is VERY handy (you know, rebuilt a "totalled" BMW to state specs) so he does a lot of projects for me, and I help (and by "help" I mean "watch").

Man, I looooved my hobie. Not one single issue. I was ROUGH on it too! I got rear ended and the hull cracked. Im going to fish out of a customized unlimited this year. I’ll have the walk thru video up next week.

How long have you had your 360 and have you had any issues with the drive? I’m really considering getting this kayak, but hearing about all of the issues has me concerned. I’m torn between the PA14 360 and the Auto Pilot 136.

I’d had zero issues and I’m extremely rough on my kayak! Pa14 is a lot wider so if you like to stand and fish go pa14.
