Thank you Jessica! 💛 It has been so incredibly helpful for me to understand why journaling is meaningful for me and figure out how I’d like to approach it. Now I also have (irregular) morning pages to help me brain dump and never revisit lol.

@@elliescorner2019 I’m working on creating a journal practice. My mother had a terrible experience as a child with it, so she encouraged us to never write anything down that we did want read in public. Until recently as an adult when I tried journal it never felt authentic. Now, I am working to change this, so your video really spoke to me 🤗❤️

I searched "Hobonichi A6 Journals" and yours was the first one on the list. I was excited to see your LeCow cover with a button because I've had one sitting in my cart for over a week. I can't decide it I want to order a Hobonichi A6 or get the larger Leuchtturm. But I like what you said about an intimidating blank page, so I think I'm going to get the Hobonichi and order that LeCow in an A6 wide! Thank you for sharing your journal. I love how some days are blank, some just have a quote or washi with a sticker and journaling on others. You've inspired me to do something creative every day! Thanks, Ellie!

💛 Thank you so much, I truly appreciate that. I love the A6 size... it was smaller than I first anticipated but it’s just the right size for me and my journaling style right now. After I gave myself permission to journal (or not) however I wanted, I started loving it even more! I’m off to a very slow start this year and that’s okay... the journal is there when I’m ready. And I love my LeCow cover, I hope you love yours too! (If you post a picture of it anywhere please let me know, I’d love to see! 😊)

Really enjoyed your thoughts and explanations. I relate to your journaling challenges - I usually don’t want to read actual journaling because it’s crazy emotional 😅 but I realized I want a personal journal for the whole year so got this hobonichi as well. Not for planning rather journaling. Then again l, I have a million journals for different purposes/sizes... but never stick to the same one for a whole year 🤞 I plan to use the monthly and extra pages for random collage or some motivational things, especially quotes. I’m a sucker for quotes!

I love quotes too! 2019 was my most consistent year ever for journaling. This year was really sporadic for me! I definitely love that I’ve learned that the type of journaling I prefer is more intentional (I keep the reactive, emotional journaling for my morning pages.) In 2021 I’m trying the Cousin so we’ll see how I do with the larger real estate of an A5! Thank you so much for watching.🥰

Hi I am new to hobonichi and I'm just wondering if there is a version without dates? I want to journal but not sure if I will have the time to journal something every day. Thank you!
@elliescorner20194 жыл бұрын
Hi! Hobonichi has a plain notebook in the A6 and A5 sizes, and the notebook is “sectioned” into four different colours of grid. Hobonichi also recently released their Day Free notebook (also in A6 and A5) which has the yearly calendars at the front and then undated pages in the rest of the book (but it does still have quotes on every page). I hope that helps! The Hobonichi site will have more information and pictures to help you see exactly what you’d be getting. Thank you for watching! 😊

@@elliescorner2019 Hi there, I would like to start a journal for my daughter journaling each day of her first year with a photo on each page. Which journal do you recommend for this? Thanks so much xoxo
@elliescorner20194 жыл бұрын
Hi! Journaling to your daughter sounds like a lovely idea. The best notebook would depend on a few different things, such as what size photos you’ll be printing, whether you want the journal to be dated or undated, how much you generally like to write, if you’re looking at a particular brand (Hobonichi?), etc. Sarah Martinez has a wonderful video on how she journals to her kids that might be a great starting point! m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/qILEmaCOnMdgn6c If you have any more questions I’m more than happy to try and answer them! 😊
@ssd14534 жыл бұрын
@@elliescorner2019 Those are all great points- I think I will be doing small photos around 2x2 inches and one photo on a page. Def not much journaling and since this would be starting from 2018 I think undated would be best... I don't plan to write a whole lot...maybe one or two lines per day. I do want one journal to cover the entire year though. Thanks so much xoxo

There was someone who did a “year in review” for those two blanks pages at the beginning, which I thought was a cool idea. You could do it for 2019 in your 2019 or a review of high points in 2019 in your 2020.

Thank you so much, Midori! Changing the way that I journal has been helpful in so many ways.
