Even after nearly five years this is still my favourite Hobonichi A6 video! I've been using a Stalogy for a few years but now want to go back to the Hobonichi in the Spring. I hadn't subscribed to YT until recently so it took an awful lot of scrolling to find you again!! This is now in my saved videos. Very much looking forward to using the A6 again. Thank you!

This is the fourth time I'm watching this. Absolutely no shame! I have always used the cousin, but switched to the English a6 for next year and I am enjoying your content for inspiration!

Wow, I'm glad you found (are finding) my video useful! I'm thinking about moving into the cousin in the new year but I love the portability of the A6. Decisions, decisions ... lol

Year Long Life I actually just got the a6 in the mail yesterday and it's just so tiny! I now don't know that I can give up my cousin lol. Either way, your videos are inspirational!

Perhaps you’ve moved on from the hobo a6, which is great... but thank you for your videos and particularly this video. It shows a progress that I can really relate to. I can’t count the number of times I’ve watched this one in particular. It’s helpful, especially when one is in a planner rut. Thanks!

I am just about to use my very first Hobonichi Techo A6 planner in the new year and came across your video. There is so much to like about your video but I just wanted to say that I love the "Zen Doodling" on the days in the monthly part of the planner that are from the previous month. Not only is that a great and decorative idea but they are really beautiful and colorful idea that add beauty to your journal. I plan to do that in my journal now. ( I hope they look like yours which are beautiful ! ) I love the progression of how you use your planner and experiments with different ideas. Nice video, thank you.

Great! Glad you enjoyed my video :) I also keep a music practice bullet journal that I will make a video on soon. There are a few music teacher planners here and there but I'm always on the look out for more to learn from. Let me know if you make videos or instagram.

Love how you have filled up your Hobonichi, I think you are in the UK? I am in the UK and was thinking of getting a Hobonichi but was wondering did you get customs charges? What pen/s did you use for writing/coloring? Tfs :)

I love the look of the A6 Hobonichi and I really want to try it out. However, I'm scared of the size, probably for the oposite reason of everyone else. I just can't imagine how I'd be able to fill an entire A6 page per day 😂 Also, I think the A6 might be a bit big for my taste as well, as I'm currently using a pocket size notebook. Oh well, maybe one day. For now I really enjoyed your video :) x

Thank you so much! Just started watching your vlogs, I really enjoy them :)I think your study tips are going to help me lots in Sep ;) I went with an A5 this year but I'm finding that too much space and now I've switched back to the A6 size as of July 2017. We'll see how that goes - I suspect that when I go back to do my masters in Sep I'll need other things from my notebook. I guess it depends on how you're going to use the notebook - I've taken to writing gratitude, to-dos, daily goals, time-line, appointments and then filling any remaining space with maybe some journaling, recipes, brainstorming, lists, thoughts, drawings etc I also track pomodoros in the timeline section too.

Why not use stickers also with your planner? Since you are a music teacher with private students; use a music sticker icon in date and time box, It may help you. I use stickers and stamp in my A5 planner which makes it wonderful for me. and thanks for sharing. I ordered an A5 zipper yearly vertical by MochiThings. great video

What did you use for the splashes of color (like the pineapple at 16:51)? i want to use watercolor but I'm afraid the paper is thin enough that it will just warp
@yearlonglife7 жыл бұрын
Brush pens :) I haven't used watercolours yet but that's on my to-do list. I like tombow brush pens and faber castell.

You mentioned using Evernote with your journal. Any chance of you doing a video to cover how you use the two? I am full digital but looking to make a change not sure hot to completely let go of the digital yet :/
@yearlonglife7 жыл бұрын
I like to use a mix of both. Sometimes depending on my mood or situation, it might just be easier to use digital and likewise - I don't like to limit myself to one medium, it just doesn't work for me. But at night, that's the time to come off digital and sit down with my notebook/planner and write. I find Evernote especially useful for saving emails that I want to read later or for saving web articles, videos etc I'll add your suggestion to my video to-do list! :) Thanks

Aysegul Tosun I got it straight from Japan. There used to be a few places in the UK that sold it but couldn't find anywhere for 2017 version.
