Oh oh oh oh.....I so loved listening to you in this video and the meaning that came through....Joy. I have been in therapy a number of years trying to break through my inability to sustain an appreciation of lifelong joys and blessings. I know what my passions are and the skill sets I've obtained because of them. My analytical mind however holds the disappointments as greater than the good. However, listening to your approach in journaling shocked my mind into a wonderful possibility of holding on to gratitudes and joys. I also started a hobonichi planner this year and I went straight into the practical and functional use ignoring what it could do for my well being. Thank you. I'm so grateful that you shared.

I have been using Hobonichi for many years, but this year I’m actually working with two. One at work, and one for my life journal in order to allow me to have mental separation from work, which can be all consuming to see it all in one place. Your video gave me the idea of short notes throughout the day for the weekly view capturing events as they happen, while the daily would be a more longform journaling of how I feel about the days events, which is the reverse of what I will be doing in my work journal. My work journal we will be more of a forward planning in the weekly spread so I will have awareness of what is yet to come while the daily journal pages would be phone messages and meeting notes as well as daily tasks that have to be documented in a more detailed format.

that’s a fantastic set up with two books! if i went freelance i could definitely see myself implementing a two hobonichi system like yours! it’s definitely great to have that separation. i don’t put any job related tasks in my hobonichi mainly because every day can be so different and i prefer to leave work behind the moment i clock off. however often i can get some feelings that seem related to work on the surface, but that are actually coming from a place in my personal sphere that i need to work on (could be setting boundaries, speaking up, etc.), so that absolutely goes into my journal as it’s a good opportunity to grow. hope that makes sense! and i’m very happy to hear my video gave you an idea to implement in your journal! ✨ hope that works out well for you! ☺️

Thanks for positing! Love your ideas 📔 📒 📓 I’m using different hobonichi’s for everything. I switched from bullet journaling three years ago. Still have one for reference pages and entire task list. I love the dot stickers to mark the topics on the pages. Welcome to the Hobonichi crew!

📒📒📒 I resonate heavily with your bullet journal feelings and moving into the Hobonichi! Our stories were almost identical! I’m using the Hobonichi weeks this year and the day-per-pay Hobonichi English techo 😊

📔 Loved this video! Your voice and filming and explanations, all wonderful! I just started using a Hobonichi Cousin, transferring from a digital planner and an Erin Condren Life Planner. I need to start time blocking my schedule, and I couldn't find anything that spanned the hours of the day that I needed to plan except the Hobonichi and I just don't have time to bullet journal these days. I was concerned about the lightweight paper, but I am really loving it so far! Looking forward to seeing more of your content!! :)

That's why I started using the Hobonichi Cousin as well! I don't have time to set up a weekly spread also the time !! I use my BuJo for other things like my goals, memory keeping, creative spreads instead!

oh my gosh, thank you so much!! 🥹💖 it makes me really happy to hear you enjoyed my video!! i’ll definitely make more content soon! i tried bullet journaling digitally for a bit but i missed pen and paper. and honestly i have fallen in love with the hobonichi paper! it’s so fun to flip all those filled pages! i do use a pencil board whenever i write in it as i can really push the pen a little too much when i’m ‘in the zone’ and writing so intensely haha! 😆 i’m glad you’re enjoying your hobonichi too! ❤️

📓 I liked your idea of adding a dot to pages you might revisit for a therapy session or self reflection! I agree that you may not have the ability to analyse or interrupt your feelings at the time and you're just recounting the day. I'm definitely going to implement that in my journal!

thank you!! I’m so glad to hear you’re going to implement it for yourself as well! I hope it works for you! 💖

i also started bullet journaling in 2018! and this year will be my seventh year doing it, my system has changed a lot with me over the years and this year i’ve moved into an a5 midori codex with 368 pages to give me more space and hopefully fit the whole year in one book. i love it. i can defo see the appeal of the hobonichi though and although i have no intentions to switch anytime soon i’ll be interested to see if i still feel the same way this time next year! 📔

seven years of bullet journaling, that’s amazing!! congrats! 🎉 i hope your midori works for your whole year! i love the idea of seeing the entire year in one book, another reason why i picked this hobonichi. good luck & feel free to let me know how your journaling goes in the future! ☺️

i was trying to find the product online, do you mind putting the link in the comments? thank you!
@rythulian10 ай бұрын
of course! this is the link to the official hobonichi website: www.1101.com/store/techo/en/2024/pc/detail_cover/cb24_hon_makino/ the shipping was too expensive for me (I’m in the UK), so I bought it from a UK reseller instead called Art from the Heart (www.afth.co.uk/). if you’re in the US, I’m sure there are resellers there too! hope this helps!
