Hobonichi Preview Stadium 2025 Highlights

The Tragen is one of two Hobonichi covers I have found interesting (the second one is the Forbidden Fruit from a few years back). Normally I find Hobonichi art style extreme off-putting. Specially the ones that are usually discribed as "whimsical". If you do end up buying the Tragen I would not mind at all if you would do a review of it. I think it was quite popular, yet I have not seen many reviews of it on KZbin. Mostly I would like to know what it's like to use it. For example does the pocket flap arround annoyingly if you use it without having it lay flat on a surface. Does the big magnet in the back feel odd to write on. Great video as always. I really enjoyed listening to your thoughts about what to buy.

Honestly it’s tempting to pick up a Tragen for that very reason - I haven’t seen much about what it’s actually like to use on a daily basis. I’m toying with picking up the Weeks one as I think I might try a Weeks for work next year.

Thanks for your timely reminder and great videos! I just pulled the trigger just now on 2 weeks for next year as I couldn’t decide on a colour so needed to see both in person. Will sell on the one that I don’t use.

I've looked at the tragen. Still unsure if it will feel rough and set my teeth on edge! I've got a cherries weeks, original A6 and the A6 Masamune Kusano x junaida: Himitsu Stranger cover as I find oddly drawn to it! Couple of weeks clear covers and deco rush in cherries and sushi. I'm experimenting with A6 rather than cousin for memory keeping etc. I keep getting suckered into a cousin then regretting it! Love to see what you get. I know the web site was a challenge !!

I’ll be keen to know how you get on with the A6 for memory keeping. I woke up to a lot of people disappointed saying the website crashed and lots of things were sold out but I can only see one sold out item so I’m very confused?

I got to play with the Tragen at the LA pop up last week and was pleasantly surprised. I thought it was going to feel very nylon ish and shiny and that I would hate it but actually I loved it and have ordered it. It feels more like a smooth canvas and was really nice to the touch and not shiny or cheap feeling at all. I also LOVE my A6 for memory keeping. Hope that’s helpful

I have two Tragen covers and love them. Very soft and smooth to the touch.

I'm also a yellow lover and I went with the sushi fabric cover this year. I also considered the yellow triangles cover. I was disappointed that they didn't have the yellow in the colors line, but in general this felt like a huge year for yellow lovers and hobonichi. There were so many yellow cover options this year, or covers that had strong yellow accents. I had such a hard time choosing 😅 Which Etsy shop is your day free cover from? Did you end up getting anything on launch today?

Oh interesting that you thought that! I guess there are quite a few yellow pops, just no one yellow Weeks. LeatherMyStudio is the shop I got that cover from! I didn’t order anything today because for the first time I’ll be purchasing in person in Japan!

for weeks you could go sushi or pistachio? also yes I tried the a6 original first and it was kinda impossible for me to write on + there's no space to really do any memory keeping, so I switched to cousin but now I got a hon cause I want the sturdier cover without putting additional covers on it

I like the sushi but I don’t like a CoC those bow and tie Weeks. Not sure why? I was the same with my Moomin one too and for how I use the Weeks currently I’d need to be able to use a CoC.
