what you said about it not working because you were not okay for a period of the year, I understand that. we have to give ourselves the space to change things up as we need and feel like. it's okay to setup your journals and planners for next year AND it's okay, during the year, to adjust (either by removing or adding stuff) the system so that it's still something you enjoy and not a chore to keep up with

anna, i couldn't put it in better words, that's exactly it. and, being honest, i really need to understand that. i struggle a lot with change, and thinking that i have to finish everything that i've started. thank you

when things get hard in my life, i tend to prefer smaller books because i feel small/want to be smaller (that autistic thingTM of being in shutdown or burnout and not wanting to be perceived by oneself or others). i put a lot of pressure in myself to use only one book, but next year i will give myself a few options to rotate through, because i know things will get hard at some point (and that's fine, life is cyclical etc). that being said, none of my options are an A5 hobonichi. i wanted /so bad/ to be able to use a cousin but it's just so- big. and it gets bigger! i wouldn't be able to keep up with it, or bring it around with me. yours is looking great and thicc, it's nice to see how well used it is. :D many people seem to not have use for the weeklies. tbh i feel that having both the weeklies and the dailies is a bit redundant, specially in a big book. i wouldn't have use for it either.

oh my, i relate so much. the amount of pressure that i put on myself this year to have only one book, or max 2, made me very anxious. i feel like, when i started to use the cousin, it was a bit of fomo, because i saw all these cool spreads in it, and i thought it would be perfect :/ to be honest i feel the same, no way we can bring this bad boy with us anywhere! and that's something i really wanted to start doing hahahaha and thank you
