To the second question about the friend being in town, "always let people do what they'd rather do." Nobody really owes you anything. That's not to say it shouldn't hurt if a "friend" does it to you, but take it as a signal that you're not as close with them as you thought you were (as Hoda rightly said). See it as a benefit - that had it not happened you never would have known how they really feel. Adjust accordingly and invest your time and energy into the good relationships in your life.

I think girl code is great as long as it's adult girl's or women who need real answers not teenagers and collage room mates because their always dramatic and confused about everything.

@nybsbfan18 ..A true friend who values your friendship will call you and let you know that she will be in town and will let you know of her packed schedule, and will discuss with you a solution as to how you both can see each other. Even if it's just for a quick coffee or a quick drink in the hotel lobby...etc. You MAKE time for those that matter to you...otherwise it's just a "surface" level friend in which case THIS experience has informed you of that...which is o.k. too...as at least you know where you stand now. As you get older you tend to weed out "surface" people.
