Hodie Christus Natus Est
Text: Roman Catholic liturgy
(Antiphon to the Magnificat at Vespers on Christmas Day)
Hodie Christus natus est (Noe!)
hodie Salvator apparuit: (Alleluia!)
hodie in terra canunt angeli,
laetantur archangeli: (Noe!)
hodie exsultant justi, dicentes:
Gloria in excelsis Deo: Alleluia! (Noe!)
On this day Christ is born (Noel!)
on this day the Savior has appeared: (Alleluia!)
on this day angels sing on earth, archangels rejoice: (Noel!)
on this day the righteous are jubilant, saying:
Glory to God in the highest, Alleluia! (Noel!)
